Hey there,
For today's practice,
We're going to give ourselves a gentle reset.
Few quiet minutes to pause,
Breathe,
And simply arrive where we are.
Go ahead and find a comfortable seat or resting position.
Let your body and breath and mind settle naturally.
Take as long as you need.
And take a slow breath in.
And a soft breath out.
Again,
Inhale slowly.
And exhale,
Letting the body soften just a little more.
For the next few minutes,
There's nothing you need to fix or figure out.
Just allow yourself to arrive exactly as you are.
Begin by noticing your body.
Notice where your hands are resting.
Notice your arms.
Knee soreness or tightness.
Notice your legs.
The position of your spine.
Maybe you're already sitting tall.
Maybe you're leaning back a little.
Whatever position you're in is perfectly fine.
See if you can relax your shoulders just a little and let your face soften.
Now bring a gentle awareness to the space around you.
What sounds can you hear?
Maybe there are cars passing by.
Kids enjoying summer break.
A dog barking in the background.
The quiet hum of a room fan.
Or the sound of wind chimes outside.
Just notice whatever is naturally showing up here.
And let those sounds be part of this moment.
Now bring your attention back into the body.
Notice if there are any obvious areas of tension.
Maybe the jaw.
The back,
The shoulders.
You're hit.
Your feet.
You don't need to force anything to change.
Simply notice.
And if it feels right,
Allow those places to soften just a little with your next breath out.
Now just start noticing your breath.
Feel the inhale as it comes in.
And the exhale as it leads.
Let your breathing happen naturally.
Nothing to manage here,
Just breathing in and breathing out.
Take a few more breaths here,
Allowing your mind and body to be.
With each breath,
Imagine giving yourself a small reset.
Just a quiet moment of presence.
And maybe notice how even with a few minutes of this awareness,
Can create a little space,
A little calm,
A little clarity.
Carry this sense of ease with you as you move into whatever comes next in your day.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
