Hey there!

Today,

Let's soften our grip on the things that feel heavy,

Like the things we keep turning over in our minds,

The things you wish you could fix or predict,

But just can't.

Go ahead and find a comfortable seat to start.

Let your shoulders drop.

Let your jaw soften.

Take a slow breath in through your nose,

And a long,

Easy breath out through your mouth.

Let your body arrive and settle,

And allow your mind to follow and be present.

Now,

Bring to mind something that's been weighing on you lately,

A situation,

A person,

A worry about the future.

You don't need to dive into the story,

Just gently acknowledge it,

Like you're placing an object on a table in front of you.

Take another slow breath in,

And as you exhale,

Imagine taking one small step back from that object,

Creating a little space,

A little distance.

And with another cycle of breath,

Take another step back.

And with each breath,

Take as many steps back as you need.

Notice how it feels to not be so close to it anymore.

Here's the truth we often forget.

You can care deeply about something without needing to control it.

And let that land for a moment.

Right in the space you created between yourself and what you left on the table.

Place a hand on your chest,

And with your next inhale,

Feel your breath lift your heart.

And with your exhale,

Feel your body soften.

Feel and release whatever emotions want to come up and reveal themselves.

Again,

Breathe it in,

And let it go.

Now picture that worry or situation resting in your hands.

Feeling all the hope,

The fear,

And the tension.

And on your next slow exhale,

Imagine opening your hands and letting it float upward,

Carried gently out of your grip.

You're not abandoning it,

You're simply trusting that not everything needs you to hold it so tightly.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling your whole chest and belly.

And exhale,

Letting your shoulders melt.

Let yourself come back to the things you can control.

Your breath,

Your reactions,

Your presence,

And your willingness to show up with love and clarity.

Inhale in the things you can do and control.

And exhale out what you can release.

Stay with that for one more breath.

And when you're ready,

Gently come back to the present.

Feel lighter,

Clearer,

And just a little more free.

Great job,

And until next time,

Take good care.
