When you need support to guide yourself back into Presence and Self Awareness in a gentle and self-supportive way. Great to use when you're feeling wired or activated and have just a few minutes to get grounded and calm. You can also use this practice as a stepping stone to a deeper practice or before sleep. Let the calm, precise guidance allow you to access your own innate ability to be present whenever you find yourself pulled away through distraction.

So whenever you're ready,

Notice the position you're sitting in without trying to change it.

Notice where your eyes want to go,

Whether they stay open or whether you already closed them.

Just beginning to gently turn your attention in your own time back to yourself.

Isn't it nice to know that this is available to you whenever you desire,

Whenever you choose?

And I wonder how you turned inward.

Perhaps it was by pushing away everything around you.

Perhaps it was by letting it be there,

Whatever was in the space,

And still knowing that you could look inward.

Perhaps it's from the simple gesture of letting your eyelids gently fall down.

Perhaps it was your breath.

Only you know your way back in.

And only you know what that experience brings for you in this moment.

Letting yourself drop deeper and deeper to the presence,

To the quiet that's always available within you anytime you desire.

As you float on the waves of this new awareness,

New because in every moment there is a new experience,

You might like to let yourself travel through your body I wonder what you'll travel on.

Might it be your breath?

Or perhaps it's light.

Perhaps it's a sensation.

Whichever one it is,

Let it ripple through you.

As you start from the top of your head going down your face,

Down your neck,

Your shoulder,

Down your back,

Down your chest and your belly,

Rippling through your hips,

All the way down to your feet.

Deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Deeper and deeper into presence.

Deeper and deeper to the emptiness of the present moment.

And I wonder if you can now begin to have a sense of your feet.

Notice the temperature.

Are they cool or warm?

Notice the pressure.

I wonder if there's any sensations as you hone all your concentration.

Feel them as deeply as you can,

Letting everything else slip away.

Let them connect you to the ground.

Let yourself feel connected to the ground.

I wonder if you were to bring in the words,

I am here.

Feeling them in your feet.

I am here.

How might it feel to let that sense rise up through your feet,

Up through your legs,

Up through your torso,

Up through your arms and your head,

Coming out to the top and cascading all around you.

Rise up through you.

I am here.

Like the sun appearing over the horizon.

As the day breaks,

The whole world is bathed in light.

I am here now.

Each breath,

Another ripple,

Acknowledging your presence.

As you feel filled with this awareness,

As your world senses your presence,

You might like to imagine yourself walking through the world,

Connected to the state.

Walking the earth,

Moving through space,

Connected with your soul and your sense of self.

Whenever you feel ready,

You can let this fade away,

Knowing that the experience stays within you,

Knowing that you can come back anytime.

And slowly beginning to sense the edges of your body in space,

Perhaps moving a little bit,

Wriggling your fingers and toes,

To gently flutter your eyes open and come back.

Welcome back.
