The following slow-motion energy meditation is powerful and deeply absorbing.

In slow-motion energy meditation,

Prana is released to flow throughout the body.

Attention is directed to the imperceptible movement of the hands,

The sensation of energy flowing through the body,

And the mind serving as witness to the experience.

In preparation,

Find a comfortable seated position on the floor,

Cross-legged in sukhasana,

Half lotus or full lotus with one or both feet on opposing thighs,

Hardha padmasana or padmasana respectively,

Or on your heels in seza.

Use a cushion or meditation bench or alternatively a chair where you are seated on the edge,

Feet resting on the floor.

Lengthen the spine and close the eyes.

Relax,

Soften the belly,

And allow the breath to flow unobstructed.

Begin by shaking the hands out,

Shaking and shaking,

Intensifying as you go,

As if you were flinging water off your hands.

Shaking and shaking.

Allow the shaking to slow and gently bring the hands to your thighs,

Palms facing up.

Relax the shoulders,

The jaw.

Feel the energy in the hands,

The pulse.

Let's continue with deep centering breath.

Breathe deeply in and out through the nose.

Unobstructed breath.

Expansive breath.

Warming breath.

On the inhale allow the belly,

The chest,

The back and the sides to expand.

And on the exhale soften the body.

As you breathe,

Focus your awareness on your belly,

The expansion and contraction of the belly with the breath.

In and out.

In and out.

Visualize the pulsing of energy.

With each inhale the pulsation grows a little brighter.

And with each exhale the pulsation grows a little dimmer.

Perhaps you want to give this luminescence a color,

A temperature.

So with long,

Deep,

Full breath,

The light begins to rise from the belly to the heart to the upper chest.

Can you sense the radiance inside?

Warm flowing energy.

On each inhale observe the flow of energy in your body.

And on each exhale relax just a little more.

As you continue to breathe,

Observe the energy moving down your arms to your hands.

Feel the energy in the hands.

The sensation around the fingers and the space between the fingers.

With each successive breath the energy flows from the belly to the heart through the chest and down the arms to the hands.

Light and warmth engulf the body.

When you are ready,

Lift the hands off the thighs just enough to hover.

Relax the shoulders,

The hands,

The jaw,

And the breath.

And when you are ready,

Aware of your movement,

Begin to raise the hands up as imperceptibly as possible to an observer.

So slow that the hands may begin to move without your control.

Soft full breath.

Calm centered breath.

Ever so slowly the hands move upward through space.

Feel the smallest unit of movement as the hands continue to rise.

How slow can you go and still keep moving,

Imperceptible to an observer?

Is the movement happening without conscious control?

At some point allow the hands to ever so slowly begin to turn toward one another.

As the palms begin to face one another,

Do you feel an energy field between them?

A pulsation?

A pushing away?

A vibration?

An energy field?

The mind is present,

Observing the flow of energy.

The breath is soft and the body relaxed.

For the next short while,

Let your hands begin to move as the energy guides them in their own natural expression.

The breath is soft and the body relaxed.

When you feel ready,

Allow the hands to rest.

Allow the hands to drift past the face,

Radiating prana,

And come to rest on a singular place or two places on your body that desire an extra dose of curative power.

Feel the healing influence of your pranic force.

Warm,

Nurturing,

Penetrating.

Nothing to do,

Nothing to judge,

Nothing to contemplate.

An opportunity to just be in the moment,

Accepting of the exchange that is taking place.

And when you are ready,

Allow the hands to migrate back to the thighs.

Remain sitting with your eyes closed,

And feel the imprint of your experience.

And when you are ready,

Deepen the breath and open the eyes.
