Thank you for joining in today's meditation.
Let's take a moment to get comfortable in our space and surroundings.
Maybe we roll the head,
Roll the shoulders,
Releasing any tension or angst within the body,
Within the joints,
Letting yourself feel settled.
And with the next inhale,
Take a deep breath in and sigh it out.
Deep inhale,
Breathe it in.
Let an audible sigh out.
One more deep inhale.
Open the mouth,
Release the jaw,
Sigh it out.
Thank you for joining us on this meditation.
This meditation is on peace amongst the chaos.
At this time,
With current events taking place,
We are in a shared global experience.
Fear,
Uncertainty,
A sense of lack and anxiety are present in the collective consciousness.
Each of us bears responsibility for what we contribute to the collective whole.
You have absolute sovereignty over your peace of mind.
Nothing can rob you of your peace unless you willingly give it up.
You decide if you let fear,
Uncertainty,
Lack or anxiety enter into your awareness.
You determine your response.
Are you reactive?
Are you controlled by unhinged emotions?
Amongst the chaos,
The distractions,
Are you able to find peace?
In a room full of noise,
Can you hear your own thoughts?
Can you experience a moment of clarity?
In this meditation,
Let us release the distractions around us and connect to the serenity within ourselves.
Let us begin.
Find yourself in a restful position,
Letting your hands rest where they are comfortable.
Close the eyes and shift your awareness inward.
What do you observe?
Feel the movement of the breath,
Observing the flow and sink into a natural flow of inhale and exhale.
Breathing through the nose is an innate method the body uses to bring calmness to the being and sedate anxiety.
As we breathe,
Follow the breath as it travels to the lungs and the upper chest.
Feel as the shoulders pull down away from the ears and the chest opens.
Observe as the breath travels down the arms to the palms and fingers.
Feel as the breath travels down into the belly.
Feel as the breath expands the diaphragm.
And with the exhale,
Sink deeper into a state of rest.
Can you surrender and let go?
Allow the breath to travel down the lower back,
Releasing pressure and tension in the spine.
Breathing down into the hips,
Down into the legs.
Breathe into the knees,
Letting the breath create space in the knees and in the joints.
Breathe a breath down through the shins towards the feet and toes.
As you breathe,
Feel the breath travel unobstructed through the body.
Let yourself be a vessel so the breath can flow through you and out.
Breathing deeper into the space.
Find yourself in a serene space.
Where are you?
What surrounds you?
Observe the beauty and the peace that encompasses you.
Let this be your sacred space.
A moment of clarity.
As thoughts or emotions arise that are contrary to this serenity,
Simply observe them without attachment.
Allowing the inhale of the breath and with the exhale,
Release the distractions back into the ether from which they came.
Sinking deeper into the serenity.
Into your sacred space.
While here,
Notice a source of water.
Maybe it is a stream or a pond.
Maybe it is a lake or the ocean.
Whatever appears to you is fine.
Walk to the water.
Feel as the water touches your toes and feet.
Water is a cleansing element.
It helps to purify the body and spirit,
Allowing ourselves to be reborn.
Gently walk into the water.
Submerge yourself in its healing presence.
Feel as your body and spirit are bathed and cleansed.
Releasing any discomfort,
Suffering,
Agitation of the being.
The physical self is stripped from toxins,
From disease,
From waste.
The emotional self is calm and at ease.
The mind is freed from repetitive negative thoughts.
The spirit within is at peace.
Let yourself return to a state of pure joy as the being bathes in the water.
Stay breathing.
Stay connected.
With the next inhale,
See yourself emerging from the depths of the water back to the shore.
Feel the hot sun warm the body,
Allowing the heat to move freely through your being.
Bask in the sunlight and let yourself elevate to a higher place.
Slowly we'll begin to breathe down into the fingers and toes,
Bringing the awareness back into the body.
Sensing the environment around us,
Our surroundings.
And reach the arms high above the head.
And as you exhale,
Bringing the hands together down through the heart center.
You have absolute sovereignty over your peace of mind.
Nothing can rob you of your peace without your permission.
As you step forth into this day,
May you carry this sense of peace with you and express it in the world around you.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
The light within me honors the light within you.
Namaste.
