Go ahead,
Take the leap.
You have already failed in a thousand big and small ways.
And guess what?
You did not die.
You learned,
You adjusted,
You kept growing forward.
Somehow you found the courage to try again.
So why not risk failure for something that really matters to you,
Right?
Go ahead and launch your business.
Get sober.
Write a book.
Ask a question.
Sign up for that race.
Step out.
Step up.
Take that class.
Say yes.
Yes.
Do whatever your dream is and go big.
And if going small feels big,
Then go small,
But move.
Find whatever it will take to help you move the dial on your dream.
And if you fail,
It will be in the knowledge that you took a leap toward the deep longing you have felt.
And it is okay to let yourself be pulled along by that longing.
Allow it to fill you.
Fill it deep in your bones and let it move you.
Let it be a beacon for you.
Let it quiet your fears.
Let it convince you to move with your fears.
Let it be there and let it be okay.
And know that you'll be okay with whatever happens,
No matter what happens.
You may even be better as you decide to answer your urge and nurture your courage instead of discontent.
So yes,
Yes,
Yes,
Decide to take the leap.
You will not die if you stumble.
Everybody does.
It's okay.
Embarrassment or whatever else you feel will not kill you.
Just remember that when you experience it,
Treat yourself with compassion and be gentle with your self-talk.
And besides,
If you don't succeed,
You can rework your plan and you can try again as many times as you need to.
You're worth the effort and the risk,
So go for it and go big.
Now let's just pause for a moment and feel what it feels like in our bodies to think about going big or letting go of fear and limits.
And let's just be with that idea and breathe deeply.
Just breathe and feel what it feels like in your body.
Just visualize your dream and visualize yourself moving in that direction.
What do you notice?
And what kinds of thoughts are coming up for you?
Just breathe deeply here and think about whatever might get in the way and what steps you could take or what support you might need to get around any obstacles.
Who can be on your team?
If there isn't anyone,
How can you hold yourself accountable?
Think about when you'll start and what you need to get started.
And get really clear about your motivation.
Why is this dream important to you?
How will you,
How will your life be different?
How will walking toward this dream impact your sense of self?
And finally,
Think about one thing you can do today to get started.
Just one,
One step at a time.
That's the one thing you can do today.
And now let's have one final deep,
Slow breath.
Simply taking in the power of that longing.
Let nothing stop you.
You have what it takes.
You have everything you need.
And so it is.
