Hi there,
My name is Yosra,
And this is a short mindful meditation to start your day or take any time you need to come back to your present self.
Let's begin.
Start by finding a comfortable position,
Whether that's sitting or maybe laying down.
Allow your body to soften into this moment.
Before we close our eyes,
Can we take a moment to allow them to wander,
Look around.
What might they notice about this space?
Letting them land on whatever they choose to land on.
When it feels okay,
Find a soft spot to land into.
And if it feels okay,
Perhaps allowing a closing of the eyes.
In this next moment,
We'll take a mindful breath in and bring a softening on the exhale.
Our goal isn't to manipulate or change your breath here,
But just to simply observe it.
Maybe this is the first time we're checking in with ourselves today.
What do you notice in this moment?
Try not to place judgments on what you're thinking about.
No need to label thoughts as good or bad.
We're just observing.
Keeping awareness on your breath,
Take in the sensation of air filling your lungs,
Allowing rest into your body as you breathe out.
It's natural for other thoughts to pop up.
It's part of a practice.
Keep that awareness and choose to return back to yourself in the present.
When you're ready,
Let's take our last few cycles of conscious breath together.
Inviting and fluttering the eyes.
Taking a moment to allow some light back in.
Bringing some movement back into your body.
That concludes our practice together today.
I hope this brought some mindfulness into the busyness of your day.
