I'm going to invite you into a practice that is great for when you need to protect yourself.
Whether you're going into a situation that you know might involve some anxiety,
Or if you happen to be in a situation that you need to settle your physical body or calm the chaos in your mind.
This is a great practice to invite a little bit of self-care into your meditation.
So we'll begin.
Come into a comfortable position of your choice.
Give yourself a moment to fidget,
To find that just right position.
And then take a breath in and fill up through the body.
And then a big sigh of the breath out.
Again,
Just like that.
Draw the breath in.
Get light and full of air.
And then empty.
Get heavy.
Feel gravity holding you.
Settle into your own rhythm of breath,
Your own cadence.
Begin by grounding yourself down,
Asking the earth to anchor you,
To hold you safely and securely.
You can imagine that your legs are sinking into the ground,
Or roots might be growing from your feet and branching into the floor,
Sinking into the soil below.
When we ground,
We're asking to be held,
To feel supported as we raise our vibrations.
If you think of a telephone pole,
The deeper that it's buried down into the earth,
The taller it can climb.
The support of the ground can center you and give you the ability to safely grow your energy with this security below.
So take the time to connect to it,
To feel the points of contact of your body touching the earth.
And in your mind's eye,
See if you can deepen that connection further and further to the core.
Imagine in your mind's eye,
Use the image of water,
Wind,
Or maybe fire,
Some sort of element to clear yourself of any negative energy,
Any negative feelings,
Maybe ailments in the body.
Be creative and use what resonates with you.
You might imagine water pouring through you or over top of you,
Washing away negativity.
Or you might visualize that your inhale blows in fresh new air and light,
And that exhale sends out any stale dark matter that's been sticking on,
Releasing more and more darkness with each breath out,
Getting lighter and brighter as you breathe in.
With whatever element you've chosen to clear the body,
See the energy leaving your body.
Notice any black clouds or sludge being cleared out of your personal space.
You might see the transition of any of that negativity as that dark black matter transition into a grayer,
Lighter color,
And eventually full of white,
Bright light.
Once you've cleared yourself out to a comfortable level,
The next stage is to build an energetic shell or some type of armor to protect that balance that you've just created.
You might create some sort of bubble or maybe a suit of armor or something that resonates with you.
Just make sure that the shell or the structure is impenetrable.
You make it as thick or with whatever strong material you'd like.
It's someplace that you can be confident and feel safe.
Make sure that you're fully covering your entire being with this protection.
Then once you've fully protected yourself,
Give this protection an intention.
Say to yourself,
May all negative energy bounce off of me and be sent back with love.
Please allow only my highest good to come through.
Again,
May all negative energy bounce off me and be sent back with love.
Please allow only my highest good to come through.
By asking for this negative energy to be returned to sender with love,
You're actively walking through this world,
Making it a better place.
Give yourself permission to choose whether you'd like to stay in this place,
Continuing to ground the body,
Clear out negativity,
Protect your energy and be intentional.
When you are ready to transition out of this space,
Allow yourself to stay connected,
To stay within your own protection,
Your armor,
And walk into the world from this space of presence and inviting more love out into the world.
