I'd like you to just find a comfortable position.
This can be lying down or sitting comfortably on a chair.
What is most important is that you can just find a space where you can turn in and focus on you.
And once you found your place,
Close your eyes and just begin to observe your breath.
You don't need to change anything right now.
I just want you to become aware of how you are breathing.
Are your breaths more in the belly,
More in the chest?
Is it a fast breath or a slow breath?
And how does this breath make you feel?
Can you feel the abundance of air all around you?
Or do you feel as though you are gasping for the air?
As though you are trying to breathe deeply and expand and bring in life.
But there are some restrictions.
Just become aware of your experience and place your hands on your belly.
One hand on the left side,
The right hand on the right side.
And just begin to notice your ribcage there.
And start to notice whether the belly is moving.
And notice how the air is entering your body through your nose.
How the breath is leaving your body also through the nose.
And notice your ability to take in life every time you inhale.
And notice your ability to let go every time that you exhale.
And I'd like you to just imagine a beautiful golden light entering through your nostrils and traveling all the way down into your belly.
And as your breath travels down into your belly,
Allow your belly to expand like a balloon.
Expanding to the front,
To the back,
To the front.
To the sides.
You will feel your hands expanding as you breathe in and breathe out.
And try to see if you can balance the breath.
See if you can breathe in perhaps to a count of three,
Four,
Maybe five.
And also exhale to a count of four or five.
Expanding the belly as you inhale and letting go as you exhale.
And it might feel a little unnatural to do this at the start because we are not used to breathing in the belly.
But when you think of a newborn perhaps,
If you've ever had the opportunity to see one,
Babies always breathe deeply in their bellies.
Their bellies rise and fall.
And it is with time that we slowly forget how to breathe.
We forget this beautiful,
Innate,
Natural,
Nourishing type of breathing.
That we could all do when we were babies.
So let's take a couple more deep breaths.
Beginning to notice how you have already changed inside.
How your muscles have relaxed a little.
How your mind has become a little more grounded and calm.
And take one more beautiful deep breath in.
Hold for a moment.
And exhale,
Big sigh through the mouth.
This is your deep belly breaths.
This is how we create flow in our life.
First,
Without breath,
With our being.
Breath is life.
How you breathe is your connection to life.
You may return back to this recording any time that you need to reset,
Ground and come back into your center,
Into your essence and into the present moment.
Enjoy.
