In this meditation, we use brand new physics to connect to a Universe that is full of energy and alive. The void is not empty but is made of inconceivable amounts energy, in a stable and balanced structure. Matter is made of concentrations of energy, and all the atoms are entangled. Let's make ourselves comfortable then.

So we're going to find a comfortable position for our body.

Take a few deeper breaths as we park our body.

We're going to plant our feet on the floor.

Put our legs and our arms somewhere they can be still for a little while.

We can have a fidget,

Get comfy.

Next time we breathe in,

Let's straighten our spine a little bit.

Grow a little bit taller.

Next time we breathe out,

Let's relax a little bit.

Soften our shoulders.

Soften our forehead and our jaw.

The external world will be there when we return to it.

Let's take this time to visit our internal world.

Bringing our attention onto our breath and noticing how the breath feels as it flows in and out we may notice ourselves becoming quieter.

Our heart rate slowing a little bit.

Maybe our breath slows a little bit.

We're just observing whatever happens though.

We're going to use a breathing technique to centre ourselves today.

We're going to use Crown to Cock its breath so when we're ready to inhale next we're going to let our attention slide up our spine to the crown of our head.

Exhaling our attention is going to go from the crown of our head down to the tailbone.

Exhaling up to the crown down to our tailbone.

Let's use that practice for a few moments.

If your mind wanders just return without complaint or judgement.

You've noticed that your mind has wandered so you've done the job.

Not forcing the breath.

Then we're going to extend this visualisation.

When we inhale up we can imagine our attention coming out the top of our head disappearing into the infinity above us.

Then we're going to exhale it's going to come back down through the top of our head down our spine out the bottom of our spine and into the earth.

Exhaling from the earth through us out into the space above.

Exhaling down from the space above us through us into the earth.

Life is comfortable.

Just allowing that breath to come back down.

Just allowing that breathing practice to connect us with the earth and the space around us.

Whatever you feel as you do it is just right.

There's no doing this wrong.

Your experience is just as it is.

So we'll release the breathing practice and rest for a moment between the earth and the sky.

I want you to consider your skin.

Where your skin is bare like on your hands maybe on your face.

It's touching the air.

Can you imagine the atoms of your body,

The atoms on the surface of your body touching the atoms of the air and they're touching with some sort of electrical charge or magnetic charge there's some electromagnetism in some way that we don't have to understand.

They're just interacting in some way.

The surface of our skin and the air molecules.

All the air molecules are interacting with each other.

Kind of jiggling and jostling and swirling in the space around you.

You can visualize this in any way that works for you there's no right or wrong.

The space between the molecules is not empty.

Can you imagine it full of energy?

The space no bigger than the tip of your finger containing almost infinite amounts of energy.

We're sitting in the sea of energy.

It's stable and contained in its fabric.

And the atoms are part of the sea because an atom is a concentration of this energy.

Can you visualize the sea of energy reaching out into the atmosphere,

Beyond the atmosphere,

Into all that is?

Each concentration of energy,

Each particle,

Each atom is connected to its neighbour.

They form a vast web.

You sit in the centre of this vast web of interconnectedness.

Your particles are part of the web.

Other people's particles are part of the web.

The water,

The mountains,

The plants,

The animals.

None is outside the web.

Rest for a moment in the centre of the web.

Sensing the connections,

The connectedness.

You are connected to distant galaxies.

And the smallest creature.

The web is conscious.

Each particle has consciousness.

Your consciousness is a concentration,

A focus of the concentration of the awareness of the whole.

And the energy in the void has consciousness.

And you have sufficient consciousness to contemplate it.

And your consciousness therefore matters to the whole web.

Because you are a part of it.

A highly self-aware part of the web.

The universe is self-aware through you.

Rest in the centre.

Imagine the energy flowing to you,

Through you and from you.

Energy circulating around your body,

Into your body,

From your body.

Let's feel the earth beneath us.

Feel our feet on the floor.

Energy flowing between us and the earth.

That's how we are held up by the atmosphere and held down by gravity.

We are held.

Feeling our body,

How it feels right now.

If we feel ungrounded we can allow some of that energy to leave through our feet.

We don't have to know how,

We just allow it.

Earth is happy to help us.

Very slowly we are going to start to bring movement to our body.

So we are going to wiggle our toes,

Wiggle our fingers.

We just move our wrists and our ankles gently.

Our arms and our legs.

And have a little stretch.
