Welcome to this guided meditation.
We will be working on cultivating focus and by doing so,
This will improve your meditative experiences to come.
Please find a comfortable meditative posture you can sit on a chair and place your hands on your knees or to completely and fully relax,
Please lie down on a flat surface.
Place your hands beside but not touching your body and your legs slightly apart from one another.
Now gently close your eyes.
We will be taking three deep breaths in.
Please inhale deeply and through the nose exhale deeply.
Again,
Please inhale deeply and exhale deeply.
Once more,
Please inhale deeply,
Hold and exhale deeply.
Please place your awareness on the center point in between your eyebrows.
While focusing on that point,
Can you identify a color,
A shape,
Or texture for that point?
This area constitutes your third eye chakra which in Sanskrit is called ajna.
A chakra is an energy center within the body that helps to regulate all of its processes from organ function to the immune system and to our emotions.
The third eye chakra is associated with the color indigo,
A beautiful hue that merges and falls in between blue and purple.
This chakra is tied with intuition which is the ability to understand something instinctively without the need for conscious reasoning.
Please kindly visualize an indigo circle that glows and illuminates.
Now we will set an intention.
Please silently repeat,
I will focus during this meditation.
I will focus during this meditation.
I will focus during this meditation.
Breathe deeper into that point,
Slowing down the inhalation and the exhalation.
Visualize the shape and the color indigo glowing stronger and stronger.
If you lose sight or your thoughts start to wander in another direction,
That's okay.
Just send yourself some kindness and compassion.
There's no judgment involved.
Just bring yourself back to that point.
Please take a deep breath in through your nose,
Pause and exhale through the nose.
Now we will visualize a few symbols that embody the spirit of the color indigo.
Please visualize these as clearly,
Colorfully and vibrantly if possible.
Small and round blueberries,
Succulent passion fruit,
Indigo plums,
Sparkling amethyst crystals,
A bunch of lilacs,
A bouquet of violet,
A field of lavender,
Indigo clouds in the sky,
A purple sunset,
The deep blue of the night sky,
A galaxy of stars.
Visualize your body bathing under a galaxy of stars,
Your cells twinkling and shining brightly under the pure and giving celestial light.
Meditation improves our concentration because it cultivates the act of coming back to ourselves again and again.
We don't judge ourselves when we drift off because this is a completely normal occurrence.
What matters the most is that we come back,
That we come back to the center point,
We come back to our breath,
We come back to ourselves.
Now take a deep breath in,
Pause,
And let go.
Now slowly become aware of your body,
Become aware of your sitting bones that are on the floor or on the chair,
Become aware of your hands resting on your knees,
Become aware of your spine,
Your shoulders,
Your neck,
And your beautiful eyes.
Now wiggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers,
Bring some movement back into your body and gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel now compared to how you felt before beginning this meditation.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Sending gratitude,
Compassion,
And strength to your intuition.
Namaste.
