Hello,
I'm Yin Shang and today I'll guide you through this calm practice of body,
Breath and mind meditation.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
Take another deep breath,
Filling your lungs with air and then slowly exhale.
Now focus on your breath.
Feel the sensation of the air flowing in and out of your nose or mouth.
Notice how your chest and belly rise and fall with each breath.
Allow yourself to simply observe your breath without trying to change it.
As you continue to focus on your breath,
Your mind may start to wander.
That's ok.
When you notice your mind wandering,
Simply bring your attention back to your breath.
Don't judge yourself for losing focus.
Just gently guide your attention back to your breath.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Starting with your feet,
Notice any sensations you feel,
Such as warmth,
Tingling or tension.
Move your attention slowly up your body,
Observing any sensations you feel in each area.
As you do this,
Allow any tension or discomfort to melt away with each exhale.
Imagine yourself releasing any negative energy or tension that you're holding onto.
Next,
Bring your attention to your thoughts.
Notice any thoughts that come up without getting attached to them.
Imagine each thought as a cloud floating in the sky and simply observe it as it passes by.
As you continue to focus on your breath,
Your body and your thoughts,
You may start to feel a sense of peace and relaxation.
Allow yourself to sink deeper into this peaceful state.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Feeling the air fill your lungs and then slowly exhaling.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and take a moment to reorient yourself to your surroundings.
Remember that meditation is a practice and it takes time and patience to develop.
You can start with just a few minutes a day and gradually increase your practice over time.
With consistent effort,
You'll be able to experience the many benefits of meditation,
Including greater calm,
Focus and clarity of mind.
