Hello and welcome,

My name is Mei and today we're going to settle the mind and body to come back home to peace.

Let's start by taking a comfortable position in any way that feels good for your own body.

You can sit down or lay on your back.

You might want to rest your hands on your knees or in your lap.

Take your time to settle in and release any physical tension that you're holding onto.

You can soften your shoulders,

Relax your jaw and forehead,

And gently invite your eyes to close.

Take a big deep breath in through your nose and a slow breath out through your mouth.

Again take a big deep breath in and now a slow deep breath out.

Continue breathing slowly in a rhythm that feels comfortable for you.

Bring your attention now to the sensation of your breath.

The air flowing through your nose and mouth,

The feeling of your lungs expanding.

Allow this sensation to be the home base of your awareness.

Notice the rhythm of your breathing and how it gently rocks your body.

A lullaby in the language of the soul.

Allow your mind to sit back and simply observe any thoughts that float in and out as if they were simply clouds passing through the sky.

Not trying to follow any thoughts but just to watch them come in and out of the picture.

If any thoughts try to take you by the hand and steer you in a certain direction,

You can simply say thank you but no thank you and return your attention back home to the sensation of your breathing.

Keep centering your attention to your body,

Deeply resting in the home of your heart.

Allow the air that fills your lungs to overflow into every corner of your body,

Nourishing each part of your being.

If your mind wanders to follow a certain thought,

That's okay.

You can gently guide it back home to the sensation of your breathing as the air flows in and out of your body.

The mind may become curious to inspect the origin of certain thoughts while all with very good intention lovingly guide the mind back home to awareness.

Awareness of the breathing and sensations of the body.

For these curiosities can be followed at another time and place.

Consider this single moment as you take another deep breath in and sink deeply into the space between your soul and the earth.

Slowly start to bring your attention now to the space that you're resting in.

The texture of the surface beneath you,

The temperature of the air touching your body and any sounds that surround you.

Gently invite your eyes to open whenever they are ready to do so.

Thank you for your presence here today.

I hope that you've enjoyed this meditation and I wish you an abundance of beautiful moments ahead.
