Welcome,
Take a moment to settle your body and let your shoulders drop.
Let your face soften now and feel the support beneath you.
Let your eyes close gently now and begin by following the quiet rhythm of your breath.
So inhale now and exhale.
There's nothing you need to change.
Just notice that you're here and with every breath,
Begin to release the need to do.
Let go of fixing and let go of reaching and let go of trying to figure anything out.
Right now there's only this moment and this breath and this body and that's enough.
So now imagine that you're deep within you and there is a door,
A quiet door.
It's always been there.
You may not have noticed it before,
But it's waiting.
This door leads to your inner sanctuary,
A space beyond time,
Beyond noise,
A place where nothing is required of you and nothing is expected and everything is okay.
So in your mind's eye,
Step up to that door,
Feel the surface cool and smooth and steady.
Now breathe in and as you exhale,
Open it and step inside.
You're now in your sanctuary.
It may be a quiet room filled with golden light and it may be a peaceful forest glade.
It may be a space that has no form at all and it's just peace.
Let it take shape in your mind,
Feel the air and sense the colors.
Notice what makes this space feel sacred,
Comforting and alive.
This is your refuge,
A place where the world falls away and only awareness remains.
So now sit or lie down in this space,
Feel yourself relaxed even deeper here and nothing can enter this space unless you allow it.
So let your breath slow now,
Let your body melt into the safety of this moment.
There is no past here,
There's no future and it's only you and it's only now.
So breathe and rest in the silence that holds everything together.
Just let yourself be and now gently bring your awareness to the center of your chest.
This is your heart space,
So let it expand slightly and let it glow softly.
You might even feel warmth or simply presence.
This is your inner home,
Your still point in a world of movement and it's always with you.
You don't need to force peace,
You don't need to chase stillness.
Just return to this sanctuary and it will meet you there.
Now is the time to begin the return,
But know this,
Your sanctuary doesn't vanish,
It remains within you always and forever.
So gently rise from your resting place inside the sanctuary,
Walk slowly back to the doorway and step through.
The door closes softly behind you,
But the peace comes with you.
So feel your breath again,
Feel your body,
The air around you and the ground beneath you.
Begin to return to the room you're in.
So inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
And when you're ready,
I'll count you back.
Three,
You are calm.
Two,
You are grounded.
And one,
Open your eyes now and carry this sanctuary with you wherever you go.
