Hello Kindred Warriors.
Today I wanted to take you through just a few things that you can do to help with lymph drainage,
Especially this time of year.
I know that it's autumn here in Melbourne and this can bring up a lot of allergies,
A lot of cold and flu symptoms,
Sore throats,
All the rest.
So hopefully this will support you throughout your practice.
So the first thing I would like you to do is to bring your index and middle fingers together.
We're going to pop them just above the nose,
That little indent above the eyes.
And then from here,
Just gently draw a line above your eyebrow all the way down into your temple.
So just repeat that movement here.
Now we are tracing the sinuses here.
So be very,
Very gentle with this practice.
Nice way to soften.
So just allowing little movements.
Very,
Very gentle.
Beautiful and keep pushing towards the top of your ear here so that the lymphs will and gently catch that from there bring just your index finger and to either side of the nose again we gently draw a line now tracing your cheekbones here around and again out towards the temples,
Towards the ears.
I can already feel my sinuses opening here.
Let's take a moment.
Feel into that energy there.
Beautiful.
Now you can absolutely do more than this if you like.
It's just a really nice way to soften and release everything.
Around the eyes beautiful then turn your head here take your flat palm just a nice little gentle gentle massage down again we're not trying to force or stretch the skin just a nice beautiful encouragements of downward movement into the area.
Beautiful.
Our lymph system is almost like the little garbage can for all the fluids,
All the cavities and sinuses.
Um.
.
.
So,
So good to hear.
Help this process along,
Especially with change of season.
Now cup your fingers like this and just bring them here above the collarbones and just a little gentle press down.
Making sure that you're still breathing nice and strong here deeply in through the nose.
From here we'll cup the hand like this and then just bring it over the elbow joint here and create a little sound.
Same on the other side.
And then from here,
We want to start bringing in some movement.
Bring your hands onto the shoulders here.
Idha Pingala,
Inhale to your left.
Excel to the right.
In helps.
You can move here as fast or slow as you like.
Just helping movement into the upper thoracic here,
Down your spine.
From here,
Sweep your arms nice and wide,
Palms together,
Melt down into your Uttanasana,
Lift halfway.
Forward fold,
Exhale.
Reverse swan dive back up.
Ooh,
My plants.
Exhale back down.
Inhale,
Sweep the arms up,
Dive down.
Inhale,
Lift.
Fold back down.
Reverse swan dive back up.
Exhale,
Hands to heart.
One last one here.
Deep breath in.
Swan dive down.
Let's lift halfway.
Exhale.
Reverse back up.
And exhale hands to heart.
Next just a little movement here so a little bounce Letting.
.
.
The body move.
If you have okay joints and you'd like to go a little bit,
You might bring in a little full bounce here,
But otherwise just a little bounce from side to side.
If you can get a little twist in here you will support the lymphatic drainage here in the hip area and groin.
Movement is medicine really helps to flush out anything the body doesn't need.
Beautiful,
From here bring your hands onto the body.
One hand here on your belly,
Nice deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Now you're more than welcome to continue here.
Breathing is such a good way to help the body detox and release.
So just taking a few more rounds.
But if you like to continue on your own,
You're more than welcome.
Thank you so much for joining me for this really short little practice to help lymphatic drainage.
Om Shanti my loves.
