Hello my love,
This is a healing meditation for back and neck.
I know these areas can get extremely tight as we move through our day-to-day lives and today I just want to share a little gentle practice to help bring relief in these very sensitive areas.
So let's start by finding a comfortable position and because we're working in the back and neck you might choose to sit up in a meditative position or you might lie down,
Whatever feels comfortable for you and allow yourself to be free of distractions,
Letting yourself just a few moments to tap into the healing of this meditation.
Once you settle gently close your eyes taking a beautiful deep breath in and as you exhale allow any immediate tension to release from your body.
Here just starting to feel the ebb and flow of your breath following that rhythmic flow of the in and the gentle release of the exhale.
With every breath feel yourself sinking just a little deeper into a relaxed position.
Let your body become lighter,
Your mind clearer and just allow the breath to soothe any tension.
Gently scan your body now and just notice your back and neck.
Notice their sensations here,
You might feel tension,
There might be heat,
Might feel cool,
Tingling and just notice any area of the back and neck that might need a little extra TLC today.
Now imagine a warm healing light above you.
This light is full of love and healing energy.
This light is ready to help activate your body's healing intelligence to touch your life with comfort and peace.
And as you breathe deeply visualize this light slowly flowing down towards you.
It glows softly yet brightly and it feels quite comforting and warm.
See it first here touching the crown of your head,
Filling you with a sense of calm and safety.
Let this feeling of warmth slowly spread moving down your neck and your shoulders.
Feeling that glow surrounding these tender muscles that support your head and support your whole body.
Now bringing your focus to your neck and back.
These areas often bear so many burdens of stress in our day-to-day life.
Visualize the warm healing light now enveloping your back and your neck.
See this light growing brighter in places where you feel the most discomfort or tension.
With every breath in draw more of this healing warm light into your neck and your back.
Feel it gently penetrating the skin,
Soothing your muscles and relaxing your nerves,
Untangling any knots of tension.
This light moves with purpose and care,
Targeting the ear areas of pain and replacing them with a comforting warm glow.
You might see the tense energy pushed out like a cloud of gray light leaving your body and those areas replaced with this warm glowing healing light.
Allow yourself a few moments here to really tap into the sensations.
The healing light continuously flowing to you,
Through you,
Bringing healing and comfort to your neck and your back.
Every cell in these areas is bathed in warmth and healing,
Regaining balance and harmony.
Letting your body soften and sink a little bit deeper.
Gently check,
Notice if there's any further areas that need that warm healing glow.
As you exhale,
Sending your awareness and breath into those areas.
Allowing your back and neck to fully experience health and healing.
Now gently taking a moment to express gratitude for our body's ability to heal.
Our body's healing intelligence activated and supporting our nervous system,
Our muscles and our thoughts and emotions.
We gently ask our body,
Our thoughts and our mind to support the healing,
To recognize thoughts that might create tension.
Allowing us to create little pockets in our day to come back to this practice,
To invite healing back into our bodies whenever we need.
And when you're ready,
Gently and slowly start to bring some awareness back into your fingers and your toes.
Start to wiggle hands and feet and a gentle roll of your neck from side to side.
When you're ready,
We'll gently,
Slowly open your eyes.
