Welcome to today.
Start by getting yourself in a position that is comfortable for you,
Whether that's a seated position or laying in the comfort of your bed and gently close down your eyes.
Connect to your breath by taking a large deep breath in through the nose and feeling the sensation of air filling your lungs.
Exhale through the mouth with a sense of releasing any stagnant energy or emotions from being asleep.
Take another deep breath in and release through the mouth as if to sigh and let go.
Again,
Breathe in deeply making this the deepest breath yet and release through the mouth letting go of any dreams or thoughts and preparing for this new day.
Continue to breathe normally through the nose as you place your hands into a prayer position at your heart center.
Give thanks to your body,
Mind and spirit for awakening and supporting you to live this day.
Every day that you awaken is a gift to do more,
Be more and connect more.
Give thanks for the opportunity to live today in accordance with your values,
Intentions,
Goals and passions.
You may want to take a moment to connect with what some of these values or goals are and think about how you might live in alignment with these throughout today.
As you continue to breathe in and out through the nose you may like to set an intention,
Mantra or goal for today.
Is there something that you would like to achieve for today either internally or externally?
Perhaps your intention is to cultivate more self-love for yourself or to make time for something that makes you feel happy or to call in courage as you work through something difficult.
If there is something difficult about today then perhaps you could imagine the best-case scenario or look at the lesson or meaning behind this difficult event or emotion.
State your intention out loud or to yourself and continue to breathe into your intention.
Now give thanks for what you have within you to support you through this day,
Your self-love,
Respect,
Acceptance,
Courage and motivation.
Imagine a warm yellow glowing light at the base of your feet.
Imagine this light illuminating your feet and working its way up your legs,
Illuminating your body,
Moving up the pelvis and belly,
Filling the chest,
Arms and shoulders with a warm yellow glow.
Finally imagine this light making its way to the crown of your head,
Illuminating your whole body in this warm yellow light.
Imagine that this light represents the power within you,
The unconditional love,
Acceptance and kindness for yourself.
Feel the warmth that this image brings to you.
You may like to smile as you feel the comfort that this self-love brings.
Try to move forward throughout your day with this feeling of warmth,
Comfort and love that is inside of you.
Bring your attention back to your surroundings.
With your hands in prayer position at your heart,
Give thanks for the life and love in your heart and body.
Move your hands to your third eye between the eyebrows and give thanks for the life and love in your mind and soul.
Slowly blink open your eyes and enjoy the day that awaits.
