If you're listening to this recording,
Then I can imagine that you're in a headspace where you're feeling overwhelmed,
Stressed and possibly anxious about something that's occurring for you.
You might feel like you don't have the answers,
Like you don't know the way forward,
Perhaps even like you want to give up.
It might feel like you want to go and hide in bed or zone out with television,
Procrastination or other unhelpful distractions.
Your situation might be leading to a number of difficult thoughts and emotions.
Thoughts such as,
I'm not cut out for this,
Or there's too many tasks for me to manage,
Or I can't deal with this issue.
Emotions could also come up such as anger,
Sadness,
Guilt,
Shame,
Indifference or self-doubt.
Please know that everyone has times where they go through overwhelm and that you are fully capable of riding the wave of your current thoughts and feelings and addressing your situation in a more useful way.
Allow the feelings to come up and give yourself space to feel what it is that you're feeling.
Perhaps you'll cry or yell into a pillow or write out what you're experiencing in your journal.
Once you've acknowledged your feelings,
You can get to work on processing them and moving beyond your overwhelm.
All emotions are transient.
We're never always happy or always sad or always overwhelmed.
Know that this feeling will soon pass and you will move through the discomfort of these thoughts,
Emotions and experience.
Overwhelm stems from a lack of not knowing what to do in a given situation,
Not knowing what the answers are and becoming overstimulated,
Overstretched and overcommitted.
So what are the answers that you seek?
What is it that you need in order to address the problem that you're facing?
Ask yourself now,
What is it that I need in this moment to bring my experience back to a place of balance and capacity?
Is there a conversation that you need to have with someone?
Is there some self-care you need to engage in?
Are there some tasks that you need to push back?
Is there an event that you need to decline?
Overwhelm can often tap into our limiting beliefs or trigger self-doubt and cloud our judgment and ability to adequately handle situations.
Consider whether the situation that you're in may be triggering a limiting belief or self-doubt.
Have you been in a similar situation to this before where you didn't cope so well or didn't know the answer?
Did you absorb from someone in your life that you're not capable of what it is that lies in front of you?
Are you allowing your inner critic to dictate your capacity to move forward?
Continuing to build on the mindset that you are always enough,
You are always capable and you always have the power to get through anything will support you to build your resilience and be less likely to get triggered by difficult or high-pressure circumstances.
The answers are always within you when you create the space to ask yourself what it is that you need.
There is a solution to any problem and there is a way forward for you through whatever it is that feels like it's too much currently.
Step back and consider what advice you would give someone else in your shoes if they were feeling overwhelmed.
What advice or support would you offer them?
Now can you apply that same advice or support to yourself?
You've got through all of the difficult days of your past and will continue to get through difficulties as you grow and develop your understanding of yourself,
Your mindset and your capabilities.
Take one deep breath in,
Inhaling the confidence in your ability to move through this situation.
And breathe out the difficult thoughts,
Emotions and limitations.
Again,
Breathe in confidence and exhale limitations.
Nothing is beyond you my sweet and I will believe that you've totally got this while you go and take small actions to shift out of overwhelm and into empowerment and capability.
Www.
Mooji.
