When you are ready,

Pay attention to your body,

Your head,

Neck,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Hands,

Lower back,

Chest,

Abdomen,

Your pevis area,

Buttocks,

Hips,

Your thighs,

Knees,

Lower legs,

And all the way down to your feet.

Noticing your body sensations without criticizing,

Judging.

And at a certain point,

Bring the field of awareness to your anchor,

It can be your breath.

And if you are not comfortable with the breathing,

You can choose to focus on your feet,

Your sitting point,

Or your hands.

Pay attention to the detailed sensations of your anchor.

See if it's possible to feel a sense of connection and grounding.

And when you are ready,

There is a poem I'm going to read to you and see if it's okay to keep a connection with your anchor as you listen to it.

The Jolling Mary Oliver One day you finally knew what you had to do and began,

Though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice,

Though the whole house began to tremble,

And you felt the old tug at your ankles.

And my life,

Each voice cried,

But you didn't stop,

You knew what you had to do,

Though the wind pried with its stiff fingers at your very foundations,

Though their monacony was terrible.

It was already late enough,

And a wild night,

And a road full of fallen branches and stones.

But little by little,

As you left their voices behind,

The stars began to burn through the shifts of clouds,

And there was a new voice,

Which you slowly recognized as your own,

That kept you company,

As you strolled deeper and deeper into the world,

Determined to do the only thing you could do,

Determined to save the only life you could save.
