Hello,
Good day or good evening.
Today I'm going to be guiding us through a grounding meditation.
So gradually I'll invite you to find your most comfortable seat and with that comfortable seat,
If it's possible,
See if you can bring yourself into a straight spine,
An effortlessly straight spine,
Shoulders relaxed and the head and neck effortlessly positioned at the top.
And maybe that might involve a slight tilt of the head down,
But allow yourself to find that effortless space,
That space where the energy of the spine can flow all the way up to the head.
And begin to just start by taking some easy breaths without needing to change anything about your natural breath.
Begin to observe,
Observe the flow,
The current of air moving through the nose,
Out of the nose,
But also notice with a loving curiosity the expansion in the chest or in the belly.
How deep that breath goes,
Does it feel constricted,
Does it feel expansive?
Neither one is right,
Neither one is wrong.
And gradually we'll begin to direct that breath.
We'll take three breaths into the solar plexus.
I'll invite you to just start by bringing your focus into this point,
That point between the top of the navel and just beneath the heart,
That solar plexus area.
And imagine in this space is a beautiful golden sun.
And as you're ready,
We'll start by taking a breath in and exhale.
Allow for that sun to expand wider.
Breathing in and as you exhale,
That sun gets a little bit wider.
And one more time,
Take a breath in to the solar plexus,
Keeping the gentle focus there.
And as you exhale,
That sun bridges into the rest of the physical body,
Starts to make its way up into the neck,
Into the shoulders,
Into the low body.
And so let's start to begin with our grounding portion of this meditation.
I just invite you to start by bringing your focus to your connection to the seat beneath you.
Notice your skin or the parts of your body touching the seat beneath you.
Buttocks,
Thighs,
Maybe backs of the knees,
Calves,
Soles of the feet and even the toes.
If you're against the chair,
Maybe you're even noticing your back and your shoulders.
But bring your awareness to any and all of these spaces and feel the calm,
Feel the energy moving through these spaces.
From here,
I'll invite you to I'll invite you to bring the focus to your tailbone for a moment.
Gentle focus at the tailbone,
Taking easy breaths into this space.
On the count of three,
I'll just invite you to imagine a grounding cord attached to an anchor,
A golden anchor that'll anchor down into the earth.
And so on that count of three,
Imagine with a suddenness that anchor brings you down into the earth.
So as we're ready,
We'll begin.
You can start by taking a breath in one,
Two,
And three.
That grounding cord drops down into the earth,
Shoots down into the earth,
And suddenly you can suddenly you can just feel yourself fully present,
Fully in your body.
That anchor makes its way all the way to the center of the earth,
Where it just grounds in.
And you feel yourself ten times more connected to the seat beneath you now,
Ten times more connected to the earth beneath you.
And you feel in this moment Mother Earth beneath you,
Asking you,
Inviting you to soften your body,
To relax into her.
And so check in with your body in this moment,
Starting from the top of the head,
Down to the feet,
And see if there's any space that can soften a little bit more.
And as you reach your way all the way down to the toes,
Just allow yourself to bask in this relaxation,
This loving energy,
Feeling in this moment as you continue breathing that earth energy is coming up that grounding cord and into your physical body.
This flow of warm earth energy moves up into your tailbone,
Into your pelvic floor.
You feel it flush through the legs,
Up into the torso.
You draw it up into the chest,
Into the heart,
Moving into the spine,
Shoulders,
And streaming like ink it moves down the arms.
And on your next breath that warm earth energy moves up,
Up,
Up into the head,
Into the ears,
Into the eyes,
And the back of the eyes,
Until your whole body is just immersed in this comforting,
Refreshing,
Grounding energy.
Continue taking this in.
Allow yourself to rejoice in being held.
It is safe to do so.
Continue flowing that energy into your body and feel it moving into your energetic field,
Creating this aura around you of protection,
Of safety.
And in this moment just take a second of gratitude.
Allow yourself to soften the heart and to just take a second of gratitude for Mother Earth,
For being there,
For supporting,
For holding you in this space,
In this moment.
Knowing that as you allow her to hold you and support you,
You are also supporting her.
And so I just invite you to reflect in this moment,
Reflecting your body.
What is ready to move out?
What is ready to be released?
And maybe your body shows you this,
Maybe this comes up as an image,
A feeling.
But as you sense this,
Allow yourself to just deepen the breath into this space.
And as you invite the breath into this space,
Allow for this energy to start to trinkle down to your grounding cord,
Like a dark liquid,
Down into the earth.
Allow for your breath to release this holding,
This tension,
Trusting that as this old energy pattern habit is released,
Mother Earth is supporting you in transmuting it.
I'll give you another 20 seconds to continue channeling this energy down into your grounding cord.
And so from here I'll invite you to let that go gently.
And we'll close this meditation today by repeating some affirmations for grounding,
For safety.
And so in this moment,
Invite yourself to just open your mind,
Open your heart,
Your energy.
And if it feels right,
You can either repeat these affirmations,
Either mentally or aloud,
But allow yourself to feel into each word that I utter.
Let's begin.
It is safe to be in my body.
It is safe to be in my body.
It is safe to slow down.
It is safe to slow down.
I love my body.
I love my body.
I am whole.
I am whole.
I am whole.
I am supported.
I am supported.
It is safe for me to release tension and worry.
It is safe for me to release tension and worry.
I am open to love and safety.
I am open to love and safety.
And so take a moment just to rest in the vibration of the affirmations we just sat with and cultivated,
The energy we cultivated,
And set a gentle intention for your day.
Maybe it is to just maintain this peaceful,
Grounded energy as you move out of this state.
But as you're ready,
Take your time coming out.
Maybe that's with gentle movement,
But as you're ready,
Allow yourself to look at the world with a new set of eyes.
