Gently settling into your space.
Finding a seated position or lying down whichever one is more comfortable for you at this moment.
Allow the toes to soften.
Allow the arms,
The shoulders,
The fingertips to soften and be loose.
Let your whole body be light.
Allowing the weight to be heavy onto the mat or whatever you are sitting on or lying on.
Settling into stillness.
Noticing any areas of your body that may be tight or tense.
Just bringing awareness to these areas.
Softening,
Relaxing,
Easing into the practice.
With the physical body still,
I invite you to bring your awareness to your breath.
Breathing in and out through the nose.
And each breath you take,
The belly rises and falls.
The ribcage expands and compresses.
Allow the breath to flow gently,
Softly and deeply.
Now notice the thoughts in your mind.
Noticing whether it's calm,
Whether it may be messy,
Whether it may be busy.
Just simply notice.
Allow the thoughts to come and go.
And as they do so,
Just notice.
Notice without judgment.
Notice without dwelling on to it too much.
Notice without attachment.
Notice without judgment.
So often it's very easy to cling on to a thought,
To let it unravel.
To the point where it may not even serve us anymore.
To the point where it may be doing more harm than good.
So in this moment,
I invite you to just notice whatever thoughts come up.
Notice the speed at which these thoughts are coming by.
At the same time,
Notice your body,
Notice your breath.
With every breath you take,
Allow it to relax the body.
With every breath you take,
Allow it to soften the body.
Allowing the thoughts to just come and go whenever they arise.
No need to put too much control.
No need to cling on or to attach to them.
Just noticing the thought for what it is.
And allowing it to pass if it does not serve you.
So much of meditation is to remind yourself that your thoughts are only thoughts.
They come and go.
And so often it's a story that we tell ourselves.
So often our thoughts may not be true.
So often we tell ourselves stories that may be made up,
That may not be true.
So ask yourself if the thoughts that are coming up actually serve you.
Because we all owe it to ourselves to make our minds a kind place to be.
After all,
We spend so much of our times in our heads.
And not everybody knows what goes on in our heads.
So do yourself a favor and make your mind,
Make your headspace a kind place to be.
No judgment,
No attachment.
Allow space for clarity,
Allow space for joy,
Allow space for kindness.
Let's take two more rounds of breath here.
Taking a deep inhale in and a full exhale out.
One last one,
A full inhale in.
And as you exhale,
Releasing anything that does not serve you.
Any heaviness,
Any tension,
Any stale energy.
Very slowly bringing movement into your fingertips,
Into your toes.
Coming back to your space,
To your environment.
And when you are ready,
You can slowly open the eyes.
Thank you for listening today and I hope you have a great day ahead.
