Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.
Today we're going to embark on 12 days of gratitude journaling.
As most of you know,
I'm a huge fan of journaling and scripting.
Feel free to check out those tracks.
But I thought 12 days focusing just on gratitude would be amazing.
And thank you for being on this journey with me.
Some of our community members have asked me about gratitude journaling.
And it's absolutely something that I love and something that I'm happy to share.
So we're going to start with day one.
As you know,
I love my oracle cards.
So I pulled a card from Messages from the Guides by James von Praag.
And I got have an attitude of gratitude.
And yes,
I was specifically looking for cards about gratitude.
Although it may not always seem so,
Life on earth is a gift that you have given to yourself.
Every person you meet and every situation you experience is to be received positively.
Because each one is a chance to learn.
Everything is a lesson.
And regardless of whether you choose to spend a moment with the lesson or decades,
It is always for your benefit.
So approach everything in life with a positive,
Gracious attitude.
Because these experiences have been given to you for your advancement.
It's often difficult to accept that events we perceive as negative or bad are actually beneficial.
But try to open up your awareness to the bigger picture of what am I learning from this experience?
That is a great question.
I know we've all been through some very challenging moments at one point or another.
And it's not always easy to think that way.
But in retrospect,
When you look back at what you learned or how you grew,
Or the experiences that made you into the person that you are today,
You can definitely express some gratitude for that.
One of the prompts that I like is this one that says,
What is one good thing that I often take for granted?
So let's think about the things that we do every day that have become second nature.
And let's write about that.
What are you grateful for in your daily life?
What do you often take for granted?
I sometimes get up in the morning and I think about that.
I wake up in a warm bed.
I have food.
I have a roof over my head.
Maybe I'm taking that for granted.
And how many people out there would not trade places with me in a second?
So let's put some time on the clock.
Let's listen to Blossom Violet's beautiful music.
And let's get to writing,
My friend.
All right,
My friends,
I hope that time and that beautiful music gave you a good opportunity to get some thoughts down on paper.
And I wanted to add,
You can write on paper.
You can write on your laptop,
Your tablet.
Experiment with different ways of writing and see what works for you.
And go back and forth,
Too,
If you want.
I sometimes will write on paper,
Sometimes on my tablet,
My laptop,
My phone even.
Fortunately,
We have this technology that allows us to have a way to write wherever we are.
Or if you're more comfortable,
You can even dictate your gratitude journal.
At night,
I love to write in this beautiful book three things that I'm grateful for.
I really encourage you to give that a try as well.
And I'm going to leave you with this quote.
Someone once said,
Remember that what you have now was once among the things you'd only hoped for.
I love that quote.
And it makes me think about everything that I have in my life right now.
When I was younger,
These were all the things I had hoped for,
Things I had dreamed of.
So my friends,
I want to encourage you to remember everything that you have to be grateful for.
Don't take these things for granted.
The more gratitude you have in your life,
The more things will be drawn to you,
More things for you to be grateful for.
All right,
My friends,
Let's meet back here tomorrow for day two of our gratitude journaling.
And until then,
Have an amazing day and keep shining.
