Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.

Today we are on day 12 of our 12 days of gratitude journaling.

So first of all I'd like to express my gratitude for having had the joy of your company for these past 12 days.

I get so much joy out of journaling and that joy is always doubled when I have the company of the beautiful community on Insight Timer.

So I want to express my gratitude and I also want you to express gratitude for yourself,

For coming this far,

For your dedication,

Your commitment and for taking the time to find gratitude in your everyday life.

So for our last day,

I say last day for now because we'll be back to doing more of this at another time.

But today our prompt is going to be write about one thing that you love about the world.

And I was inspired to use that prompt after I pulled a card from The Answer is Simple by Sonia Choquette,

A very fun deck and one of the very first decks that I acquired because I had seen another Insight Timer teacher using it and I loved it.

I love the pictures and I love everything about it.

So today I pulled card number six.

The Answer is Simple.

Celebrate you.

You're flowing in the grace of your spirit and it shows.

There's light in your eyes and fire in your belly.

You're a joy to be around and an inspiration to others.

Stay present to the inner radiance and remain focused on your spirit.

Let it continue to lead day by day and don't be afraid to tell others about your joy.

You've been faithful to your spirit and the results are beginning to show.

Now is the time to celebrate.

You're a delight to the heavens and those around you.

Your light brightens the world and uplifts others who have lost their way.

Acknowledge your efforts and feel great about what you've accomplished.

This will teach your ego to be supportive of rather than combative with your spirit.

It can learn a new way.

The more you openly celebrate your spirit,

The more your ego will relax and begin to trust it.

When ego and spirit become partners,

You'll begin to live an unbelievably charmed life.

You're on your way.

Keep it up.

How beautiful and motivating is that?

And there's another quote that I love that I'm sure you've heard that says,

If everything around seems dark,

Look again.

You may be the light.

I love that quote and I do believe that many of you listening are the light and maybe you're not aware of it.

So I'm here to let you know you are.

Keep shining your light and let's do some journaling.

Once again,

We're ending this with Blossom Violet's beautiful background music and we are going to write about one thing that we love about the world.

And if that thing you love about the world is you,

I'm giving you permission to write about that.

All right,

My friends,

Let's do some journaling.

My friends,

I hope you enjoyed that time of reflection and writing in your journal.

I hope that these 12 days will continue for you and feel free to reach out to me anytime.

We've got many journaling prompts and tracks and all kinds of inspiration for journaling.

I'm always happy to share them with you and I am so grateful to you for being with me on this journey,

For showing up and for giving me the validation that this work is definitely important.

I love journaling.

I love sharing it with everyone here.

I often talk during the lives about how in the beginning when I got started as a teacher on Insight Timer,

I wasn't so sure of myself,

Wasn't sure if I had anything to offer.

And the beautiful comments,

Messages,

Emails that I get from all of you have restored my faith in myself.

So I am very grateful to all of you for that and I'm grateful to the time we have been spending together.

These 12 days of gratitude journaling have been amazing for me.

The feedback I've gotten has been amazing and I love that we can keep doing this together thanks to Insight Timer and these tracks.

And the last thing I wanted to leave you with is another quote that I read.

It says,

I can be changed by what happens to me,

But I refuse to be reduced by it.

What a beautiful quote.

And that's the one thing I want to leave you with.

We have so much to be grateful for.

Even the stuff that has gone wrong in my life has given me so much insight into myself,

Into the perseverance that I am capable of.

And for all those experiences,

Good and bad,

I am immensely grateful.

And I'm also immensely grateful for having Insight Timer and this beautiful community to share this with.

So I'm going to leave you with a little bit of Blossom Violet's music.

I look forward to hearing from you again and we will definitely be keeping in touch.

Until then,

My friend,

Have an amazing day.

Meet your Teacher

Hi Violet how are you doing today? I can’t believe, I have made it through to Day 12 of gratitude journaling. I have definitely made great progress and strides in my journal writing! I am very proud and grateful to meet you in this space, my journaling buddy. One of the things I wrote on Day 12, was a self reflection of where i have come in my writing (journaling). I never thought, I would be writing ✍️ how I feel everyday (I have my good and bad days). I have found so much comfort out of this”. For me, “it’s OK not to be OK at times, on Day 11, “I wrote about “body image”, and wrote about the food that makes me happy. In a another entry, I wrote a gratitude letter to my childhood self” and what I would say to myself as a “nine year old who felt the odd one out because of my “skin colour and cultural background and identity, racism was another thing that I wrote in the same journal entry. There are so many different things that I am truly grateful for and one of them was writing a journal prompt everyday. 🙏🏿🙌🏿 Now it’s time for the 30 day journaling challenge. It was great seeing you at the “live event yesterday.

What a joy these 12 days have been and a sad point too as I’d love to continue journalling with you dearest Violet … let me seed an idea 52 prompts, one a week, to wrap up &/or seed each week - so week-ends &/or week-starts … I’ll leave this with you to ponder (or how about a journalling TV show with prompts & discussions on video?)
