This is a quick grounding technique to align your energy centers and help you feel grounded, calm and balanced. This practice can be used as an immediate stress reliever, helping you to reduce mental chatter and center yourself into the body and the present moment.

Hi everyone,

Vanessa Oum's here with a quick grounding technique for you.

Now let's take a few deep cleansing breaths together in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

We'll do three more of these.

When you're exhaling,

Really push from the very bottom of your diaphragm.

Push all the stale air out of your lungs.

Start again.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

Let your breathing return to normal and just feel into your body right now.

Do you have any tension anywhere?

Are you clenching your jaw?

Are you furrowing your brow?

Allow yourself to release these muscles now.

Soften your forehead.

Soften your scalp.

Soften the skin underneath your eyes.

Let your tongue relax.

Let your jaw relax.

Let all the muscles in front of your ears that hold your jaw relax.

Let all the muscles around your neck and your throat relax.

Shoulders relax.

Chest muscles relax.

Ribs and abdomen relax.

Let the muscles around your hips relax.

Thighs relax.

Calves and shins relax and soften.

Down to your toes.

Tops of your feet soften and relax.

Now bring your awareness to the bottoms of your feet and see which sensations you pick up on the bottoms of your feet.

Without the need to label,

Just observe what sensations are you feeling on the bottom of your feet.

Enable all of your awareness and all of your energy in the bottoms of your feet.

Let your energy fill the arches,

Around the toes,

Around the balls of your feet,

Around your heels.

And allow anything that might have been troubling your mind to trickle down to the bottoms of your feet.

Anything that does not serve anymore,

Anything that you wish to recycle into clean,

Clear,

White light energy for your revitalization,

Send to the feet now.

And when you're ready,

When your body is ready,

Imagine this energy seeping out of the skin on the bottom of your feet and moving its way down through the floor beneath you,

Through the subfloor,

Through the insulation,

Through the foundation,

Down beneath the structure that you're in.

This energy moves its way down through the ground,

Through the crust of the earth.

Feel it make its way down through the soil,

Around rocks,

Around plant roots.

Watch the roots of the plants beneath you take some of this energy for you to be recycled into clean air.

Move beyond,

Allow the energy to move beyond the roots of the plants and keep burrowing down,

Down,

Down into the deep earth.

Down to the core of the earth.

And allow these energy tendrils to wrap themselves around the core of the earth and wrap around and wrap around until you feel a sense of stability.

Until you feel like the core of the earth is holding you steady.

And allow the core of the earth to pull this energy out of your body and into itself to be recycled.

As Jenny Heston put it,

This is our cosmic compost.

This is the stuff that the earth feeds off of.

And before the invention of shoes,

We were constantly grounding and constantly moving things through our bodies that didn't serve into the earth to be recycled.

We're just doing it out of habit.

And sometimes this needs to be conscious practice to ground.

From this place of stability and composting and cleansing of ourselves,

We're going to move up.

Stay grounded,

Stay connected to the core of the earth and move your awareness up.

Up through your feet,

Through your legs,

Through your knees,

Through your thighs,

Hips,

Abdomen,

Chest,

Neck,

Head,

Crown of the head.

And out through the crown of the head up toward the sun.

Move your energy five feet above you,

10 feet above you,

30 feet above you.

Keep going until you start to sense a lightness.

And then wrap your awareness around the sun.

And wrap around and around and around until the top half of your being in your body feels stable as well.
