So today we're gonna talk about gratitude.
I bet it's something everybody has talked about and everybody is going to talk about because it's just so important.
A lot of people who come to me for coaching sessions,
I just ask them so hey how many times a day do you give things and they just don't know or I just ask them when was the last time you said thank you to yourself,
To your life,
To the universe even and they just don't remember.
Gratitude is just something that's so important,
It just makes us appreciate things so much more.
For example the little things and when we start giving thanks to those little things our perspective changes,
Like our lives change.
You might think this is crazy but if you start doing it you're going to see that there's a huge difference once we start thinking yourself,
The universe or just being grateful.
So today's mindful challenge using the hashtag Vmindfulness,
Right when you wake up post a picture of something in which you're grateful for but something small that you just maybe you haven't valued it like for example a pillow or for example your sheets that are very cold in the morning or if you have a dog your dog,
Something that you're just grateful for.
It could even be your family.
So that's your mindful challenge for today just giving thanks or even just thanking those difficult situations that you have.
For example it could be that old car that you have that you just can't stand because it just doesn't work but when it does work it takes you where it's supposed to go so just be thankful for that car.
That's what being grateful is,
Those little things even those bad situations I mean something good always comes out.
So today we're going to do a little mindful gratitude meditation exercise and what I would like you to do is to please close your eyes,
Sit in a very comfortable position with your back straight,
Close your eyes and just breathe.
Focus on how your lungs expand,
Breathe in and breathe out.
Take another deep breath in and take another deep breath out.
Focus on your breathing.
How do your lungs feel when you're breathing?
How does your body feel?
Now I would like you to breathe in happiness even if you don't know what it feels like just that joy and if you want to smile you can smile.
So breathe in happiness and breathe out any tensions.
Breathe in peace and breathe out anything that's holding you back.
Breathe in love and breathe out love.
Focus on your body.
How does your body feel?
And even if you get any thoughts in your head it's okay it's absolutely normal but just acknowledge them and let them pass.
Focus on your breathing again.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Acknowledge all the beautiful things that you have and that you're grateful for.
Be grateful for that water that we have,
The people that existed before us.
Be grateful that we have machines that wash our clothes.
Be grateful you have a roof under your head for indoor plumbing.
Be grateful for that food you ate today.
Just take a moment to state three things in which you're grateful for.
And take a deep breath in and smile just a small smile.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Give thanks to your body because it works without you telling it to work.
Because you're alive.
Because your blood flows without you reminding it to.
Because you're here,
You're that big ball of energy.
Say thanks to your body,
To yourself because you're doing the best that you can and the best that you can is the best way.
Give thanks.
Breathe in and breathe out.
When you're ready,
Give yourself a hug and smile.
Even if it's half a smile,
You're smiling.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for listening and you can do this mindful gratitude exercise whenever you'd like to.
And remember to use the hashtag,
The mindfulness.
