Welcome to this healing meditation for chronic pain,
Trauma,
And flare days.
To begin,
Get yourself into a comfortable position,
Whether this is sitting in a chair,
Lying on the floor,
Or in bed.
Whatever feels most natural and accessible to you.
I encourage you to use supports of any kind if they help you,
From bolster pillows to weighted blankets.
As your heart rate drops during this journey within,
You may find yourself more sensitive to a chill,
So make sure you're cozy and comfortable.
Get into alignment by imagining a string pulling you up from the top of your head as you lengthen and widen into space,
Fully occupying the area you have created for yourself.
Gently close your eyes if you have not already done so.
Take a few deep breaths as you melt into your seat or the floor.
Give your full mass to the structures supporting you.
Without judgment or qualification,
Shift your focus to your breath.
As you breathe in deep,
Allow the belly to swell.
As you release your breath,
The belly should settle and sink toward your spine.
In belly swells,
Out belly settles.
In belly swells,
Out belly settles.
Come to rest in your natural breathing pattern now.
Begin to notice those areas in your body or mind that are causing discomfort,
Pain,
Or dis-ease.
As with your breath,
Notice these areas without judgment or preconception.
Just see them as they are,
Pulsing in existence and alive within your person.
You may feel tender and vulnerable as we embark upon this exploration.
That is totally normal during this process.
Take this moment to be reminded of your strength and resilience,
Living on the other side of your limits.
See your pain,
The black hole in the cosmos of your being,
And face it head on.
Keep that gaze within,
Both gentle and unwavering.
For every action,
There is an equal and opposite reaction.
As you are fixed,
Determined,
And confident in your connectedness to earth and creation,
This void that has for so long inhabited you begins to become less so.
Allow the pain to shrink in size and scope,
From whole limbs or organs to the size of a softball,
A tennis ball,
And slowly further to the size of a golf ball,
And then a marble.
You may feel that marble floating away or being pulled from your body listlessly,
Magnetically attracted beyond your body and away from you.
Let it go in peace.
Watch it dissolve into space and be absorbed by the universe's endless abundance to you.
Write to your meditation loving presences in your life,
Past,
Present,
Or future,
Who are able to support you in the continued transmutation of your pain.
You never had to do this alone,
And you don't have to now either.
As these guardian spirits begin to come into focus,
See them bathed in celestial light as they step forward into your consciousness.
They kiss their palms and place their hands,
Awash in healing golden light,
Onto your trigger points.
As they channel their light into your body,
Let it amplify and grow within you.
Let your loved ones hold you.
You are covered in a cloud of kisses,
A light in the surrender of release.
As the light dances,
It expands into every crevice of your body,
Enabling you to float weightlessly with ease and comfort.
Expand with the light and your breath,
And that of your loved ones,
Your ancestors,
As you connect truly,
Deeply,
And authentically to your inner wisdom.
Take a few moments to bring this loving presence to all parts of your body,
Activating your body's healing responses.
Everywhere.
Let love light you up,
Breathe deep,
And continue to allow any remaining pain to shrink,
Remove itself,
Dissolve,
And be replaced with the light,
Love,
And grace provided by these divine beings.
Continue the cycle for as long as you need to do so.
It is in this state of trust and surrender that you fully inhabit yourself.
I'll give you a few moments to complete the cycle.
Let's come back to our breath.
Envision these in and exhalations as the movements of a mill wheel,
Sturdy,
Timeless,
Ever moving and evolving.
Begin at the bottom and scoop some gentle,
Deep,
Evenly paced currents of airflow,
Like water,
Into your belly.
Allow this breath to travel to your breastplate,
Expanding your ribs and chest.
Let the breath continue its path around to your neck,
Upper back,
And shoulders,
Creating an easy space between your shoulder blades as it glides gently into your pelvis,
Sacrum,
Coccyx,
And back around to your beautiful belly.
Let this wheel of breath continue to turn and churn as it connects you to the earth and your own evolution,
As well as to the spirals of galaxies at your energetic disposal.
Keep breathing and scooping air into the further extremities of your body,
Into your crown and the back of your skull,
Back down through your spine,
Vertebra by vertebra by vertebra,
Into your sexual organs,
The back and front of your thighs,
Lower legs,
And feet,
Even into your toes.
Expand this breath onto the horizontal plane too,
From the tips of your fingers all the way up your arms,
Your wrists,
Forearms,
Elbows,
Upper arms,
Shoulders,
And back into your neck and center line,
Anchored by your spine.
Allow this easy,
Rhythmic,
Intensive life force to allow you to expand,
Gently unfurling into all that encompasses your past,
The present moment,
And even into the future,
Full of possibility.
You are at once of the earth and of the cosmos,
A living representation of all that is good and beautiful in the universe.
Welcome to you,
Ever beaming,
Ever glowing,
Ever activated by love and life force,
Radiating compassion for self and others.
Continue to bring light to the places where it doesn't exist.
Keep changing the narrative within.
Keep breathing and unfolding.
