Hello and welcome to your guided meditation.

In today's meditation we're going to focus on gratitude.

Practicing gratitude can help us shift attention away from negative emotions and instead focus on positive experiences.

So I invite you to open your mind and hearts to this meditation.

Allow yourself to feel the gratitude within.

Now let's start by softly and gently closing our eyes.

Begin to settle in whether you're sitting down or laying down.

I want you to invite your body to relax and let go of the outside world.

Let's start by observing your breath,

Your inhales and exhales.

Notice how your body feels and how your mind feels with each inhalation bringing breath into the body and with each exhalation inviting your body to relax.

Just notice this effortless action of breathing.

Notice this action of breathing that gives you life.

Feel gratitude for your breath.

Let this feeling of gratitude grow with every breath that you take.

I want you to bring your attention to your heartbeat.

Place one hand over your heart.

Notice how it's beating.

Feel gratitude for your heart.

Feel gratitude that it beats all on its own giving you life.

Inhale and exhale.

Noticing and appreciating your life-giving breath and your heartbeat in this beautiful moment in the present.

I want you to call to mind a part of nature that you feel grateful for.

I want you to envision yourself outside in this nature surrounding you,

Giving you life.

Notice how you feel being surrounded by nature.

Now look around and choose your favorite part.

What are you most drawn to?

Could be a flower or a tree,

Could be the river or the beach.

I want you to visualize feeling grateful for your favorite thing.

What does that look like for you?

If it's a tree,

Perhaps it's sitting under this tree taking in its beauty.

If it's the beach,

Perhaps it's walking barefoot in the sand.

I want you to visualize and notice how this makes you feel.

As you breathe in and breathe out,

Invite your heart to overflow with gratitude for the beauty of nature and for the gift of life.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Being grateful for all that you are,

For all that you have in your life.

Feeling grateful that your life is a wonderful,

Great gift of adventure.

Continue to breathe into the space,

Enjoying time and your favorite part of nature.

When you're ready,

I want you to take a deep breath in and then exhale,

Sigh it all out.

I want you to prepare to come back into your body,

Feeling refreshed,

Awake and relaxed.

Start inviting gentle movements into your body,

Slowly bringing your awareness back to the present moment.

When you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me today.

I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.

Namaste.
