Welcome to Tranquil Sleep Meditation.

My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.

Many things can cause us sleepless nights,

Things that are probably out of our control or things we don't know how to change for whatever reason.

In tonight's meditation we will move things on with the help of a very strong wind.

So let's get comfortable as we prepare for sleep.

Settle into your bed.

Focus on getting comfortable and cosy.

Pull the covers around you and lie your head softly on your pillow as you gently allow your eyes to close.

Move your body a little,

Just to be sure you're in the best,

Most comfortable position.

Now take a deep breath in,

Hold and release.

Another deep breath in,

Hold and release.

One last time,

A deep breath in,

Hold and release.

Now as you breathe steadily,

Your body begins to relax.

Check once more that you are in the most comfortable position for your restful night's sleep.

Now let's begin.

Before you settle down to sleep you are going to rid your mind of any worries,

Any issues you cannot deal with,

Anything causing you anguish that is out of your control.

You can hear the wind blowing.

Tonight the wind is your friend.

A friend who will carry your unnecessary thoughts and worries far,

Far away.

Far enough away that you will sleep peacefully and undisturbed tonight.

Allow the first thought to come into your mind.

Give it a little attention.

Now here comes a gust of wind.

Toss that thought into the wind and watch as it rolls away and disappears.

Another thought enters your mind.

Pay it a little attention.

Now toss it to the wind and see it roll away and disappear.

You feel lighter and calmer already.

You are ready for another unwanted thought.

Allow it to roll around your mind for a second.

Here comes a gust of wind.

Throw that thought away and watch it disintegrate as it gets blown away.

You smile as you realise how easy it is to take control of your thoughts.

They no longer control you.

If your thoughts bring you unease you can move them on.

A final negative thought pops into your mind.

You don't allow it to take up any time in your head.

You throw it immediately to the wind and watch it roll away into the distance and disappear.

You feel fresh and light.

You feel clean and happy.

You make a decision.

You decide what you can't change or control.

You will toss to the wind.

Life is for happiness.

Life is for having fun.

You realise you have wasted enough time and energy worrying about unnecessary things.

From tomorrow you will take back control and only allow good thoughts to fill your head.

Worries and obstacles will appear from time to time.

But you will either deal with them or find a way forward or toss them to the wind.

Losing sleep over things which are out of your control is no longer an option.

You feel as if a weight has been lifted from your shoulders and you notice the wind has subsided and calmness has taken its place.

But know it can return if and when you need it.

You feel a happiness inside of you.

You feel warmth in your heart.

Joy fills your being as you are no longer controlled by your worries.

The feeling of calmness comforts you.

Peace covers the earth and all is well.

You snuggle into the warmth of your bedcovers.

You breathe a sigh of contentment.

You know that tomorrow will be a brighter day.

A day full of good things.

You feel really sleepy now.

You feel content.

You feel happy.

Your body is so relaxed and is inviting sleep in.

You feel a calmness within you that you haven't felt for a while.

A calmness that envelops you in its warmth.

Your gentle breaths are soothing as you allow sleep to come.

Knowing that tomorrow will be full of fun and joy.

You accept this peace.

You accept this calmness.

You accept this tranquility.

As you fall into a deep,

Deep sleep.
