My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.
Let's prepare our body for sleep.
Get into a comfortable position where you feel most relaxed.
Move slightly just to make sure.
Feel the pillow under your head and the covers over your body.
You feel warm and cosy.
You begin to relax.
Allow your mind to clear.
Allow unnecessary things to move away.
If unwanted thoughts come in,
Just push them away.
This is your time to sleep.
Your time to feel comfort.
Your time to rest and recharge.
Your time for relaxation.
Now take a deep breath in and feel your body.
Now release that breath as your body relaxes.
And another deep breath in as your body feels with calming energy.
And then release.
Your body is beginning to relax as you take nice steady breaths.
As your body relaxes in preparation for sleep,
Your mind is preparing for a ride.
A ride on the back of a beautiful horse.
You don't need to have ridden a horse before to enjoy this ride.
This horse is special and will look after you.
You just have to climb on the back of this magnificent animal and make yourself comfortable in its soft saddle.
You mount the horse with ease and find comfort on the saddle which fits you perfectly.
Your feet slip into the stirrups and your hands know instinctively how to hold the reins.
As the horse begins to walk,
You ride as if you have been doing this forever.
No matter whether the horse walks,
Trots or gallops,
You know how to ride.
You're going for a gentle walk with the horse and the horse takes you out into open landscape,
Across land that stretches for miles.
At first all you can see is grass,
Lush green grass.
The horse moves gracefully and your body naturally moves with its rhythm.
It feels wonderful to be high up off the ground and you can see for miles around you.
You notice a few wild flowers nestled in the grass.
They delight you as you marvel at the many beautiful things nature creates.
Soon the grass begins to disappear as the horse takes you through a forest.
There are many trees of different heights,
Shapes and colours.
The smell of the forest is pleasing to you.
As the horse carries you gently along a winding path,
You notice different forest animals appearing along the way.
A beautiful deer steps out from behind a tree and looks at you with its large dreamy eyes.
The deer symbolises kindness and with this animal by your side you will have the power to deal with any challenges life may present.
A butterfly flies by,
Hovering just for a moment before it continues its journey.
Allow the energy of the butterfly to guide you through important changes in your life,
Maybe changes you have been putting off.
Your horse walks on and you breathe in the clean air.
You realise life doesn't have to be complicated,
Life is to be enjoyed.
A squirrel runs down a tree trunk,
Followed closely by its friend.
You watch as they play together,
Running up and down the tree trunks,
Enjoying life.
The squirrel symbolises fun and wisdom and reminds you that there is more to life than you can see.
Be grateful for life itself and allow the playfulness within you to come out.
The horse walks to a pond and takes a drink.
You notice a dragonfly as it flits around the surface of the water.
The dragonfly is reminding you to bring more lightness and joy into your life.
Let your true colours shine and allow no one to dull them.
As you breathe in the wonderful reminders of how happy life can be,
You're ready to let go of any unpleasant things in your life.
Your eyes are drawn to a fern whose leaves are hanging over the pond.
A ladybird sits happily on a leaf,
Enjoying the calmness around it.
The ladybird signifies positivity and happiness and you realise that you are the one in control of your joy.
Your horse has been refreshed and turns to leave the pond.
As he starts the walk back,
A rabbit hops out of a nearby shrub and stops abruptly as it sees you.
Your gentle smile pushes its fear away and he hops around quite happily.
The rabbit teaches you to overcome irrational fears and not miss out on the fun things in life.
As your horse continues walking,
You hear an owl in the distance.
You look a little way ahead and you see the owl sitting way up on a branch in a tree.
As if you are tuned into the owl,
You know that he offers you inspiration and guidance to explore the unknown and the magic of life.
With this bird by your side,
You can tap into your own intuitive gifts to manifest positive outcomes for yourself.
With a happy heart,
Your ride comes to an end.
You dismount the horse with ease and then thank the horse for taking you on this ride.
You leave the outside and find yourself back in the warmth of your bed.
You are sleepy now.
You are more relaxed now.
You are comfortable and warm.
As you feel sleep getting closer,
You feel more content with life.
As you feel yourself drifting off,
You feel happy with who you are.
You are amazing.
You are inspiring.
You are a beautiful person inside and out.
You are nearly asleep.
You are so relaxed.
You are so comfortable.
You are warm and cosy.
You are ready for sleep.
You are ready to dream.
As sleep envelops you,
You fall into a deep,
Deep sleep.
