Welcome to my mindfulness meditation for cultivating happiness.
My name is Tracy Lynn and I am so honored to be a part of your healing journey.
Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing your body to relax with each exhale.
Inhale into the present moment.
Bring your attention to the sensation of your breath,
Feeling the coolness as you inhale and the warmth as you exhale.
Allow your breath to anchor you in the present moment.
Take a moment to scan your body from head to toe,
Noticing any areas of tension or discomfort.
With each breath,
Imagine releasing that tension and letting go of any physical discomfort.
Now bring to mind something or someone you are grateful for in your life.
Reflect on the reasons why you appreciate them and feel a sense of gratitude filling your heart.
Allow that gratitude to expand and radiate throughout your entire being.
Visualize someone you care about deeply,
A loved one,
A friend,
Or even yourself.
Silently repeat phrases of loving kindness such as,
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you live with ease.
Repeat these phrases,
Genuinely wishing happiness and well-being for that person.
When you send out energy to others,
You are also sending it to yourself.
Continue with these loving phrases.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you live with ease.
Now broaden your circle of loving kindness.
Extend these well wishes to all beings around the world.
Visualize people of different ages,
Cultures,
And backgrounds,
And silently repeat the same phrases of loving kindness for them.
Cultivate a genuine desire for happiness and well-being for all living beings.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you live with ease.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you live with ease.
Now direct that loving kindness and compassion towards yourself.
Recognize that you too deserve happiness and well-being.
Silently repeat phrases such as,
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be safe.
May I live with ease.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be safe.
May I live with ease.
Allow these words to nurture a sense of self-compassion within you.
Continue to repeat these loving phrases to yourself.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be safe.
May I live with ease.
Now bring your attention back to your breath,
Focusing on the sensations of inhalation and exhalation.
If your mind wanders,
Gently guide it back to the breath without judgment or frustration.
Expand your awareness to include sounds,
Sensations,
And thoughts arising in the present moment.
Notice them as passing phenomena without getting caught up in them.
Maintain a spacious and non-reactive awareness.
With each breath,
Imagine happiness and joy filling your entire being.
Visualize it as a warm,
Radiant light that permeates your body and spreads to every cell,
Bringing a sense of deep contentment and happiness.
Marinate in this feeling for a few moments.
Gradually bring your attention back to the room.
Take a moment to appreciate the stillness and peace you've cultivated during this meditation.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes and carry the sense of happiness and joy with you.
This will bring happiness and well-being with you into the rest of your day.
Regularly practicing this meditation can help you cultivate lasting happiness,
Gratitude,
And loving-kindness in your life.
