This is the first of a series of six meditative visualisations. They are designed to act as starters, or amuse bouches, for a series of six courses I am publishing on the app. The courses are entitled Flavours of Thought and Recipes for Fresh Thinking, hence the food metaphor. This first track is designed to help you tune into a special type of thought form that are often elusive to us. This is explored in much more depth in the course Flavours of Thought Part #1 : Ethereal Whispers.

Transcript

Just for today,

Listen to the whispers on the wind.

Often they are on the edge of our perception.

They arrive without announcement,

As thoughts,

Sounds,

Images and sensations.

Blink and you might miss them.

For the next minute,

Listen out for the whispers.

Just for today,

Excite something new into existence.

Bring an idea in from the edge of your perception.

Allow it to form into something tangible.

Before acting,

Come up with a plan of action.

And for the next minute,

Allow that plan to take shape.

Just for today,

Plant new seeds.

Give them space and time.

Give them light and moisture.

Such that they can truly blossom.

And for the next minute,

Reflect on how your actions today are the precursor for beauty to come forth in the future.

Just for today,

Be open to receive.

With your palms facing up,

Allow the in-breath to rise up through the centre of your open palms.

And for the out-breath to fall back down through.

And for the next minute,

Pay close attention as new thought takes form.

Just for today,

Assemble your collections.

Group disparate objects and concepts into a whole.

Make sense of what has taken shape in your past.

Be mindful that it is this that makes what you do today possible.

And for the next minute,

Allow the collection of your life's work to take shape.

Just for today,

Extend your potentiality.

Before building on what has come before,

Disassemble old worn-out structures.

Be ecological with the new build and ensure it is sustainable.

And for the next minute,

Become the architect of your own perfect future.

And just for today,

Understand the why of why you came to be.

Maybe it lies in the what of what you can do.

Or in how you make the how possible for others.

Or maybe it's because of where it will take you.

So for this next final minute,

Sprinkle some overstanding on your understandings.

You have a gift for mixing sounds that keep the mind engaged and somehow still open to receiving. Thanks for sharing your medicine, Tom. 🌟
