Hello and welcome.
My name is Tina Stinson and I want to thank you for joining me for this meditation.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold at the top for a moment.
And then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Relaxing your body.
Breathing in again through the nose,
Expanding your belly.
Hold at the top.
And exhale through the mouth.
Allow yourself to let go even deeper.
Relaxing your jaw,
Letting your shoulders just drop away from your ears and just feeling yourself settling in and being at ease.
Now I want you to imagine yourself as a strong and steady tree.
Feel your roots just growing deep into the earth,
Anchoring you firmly into the ground.
And with each breath,
Those roots grow deeper,
Connecting you to the stability and strength of the soil beneath you.
Now,
Picture that energy that's coming from the earth rising up through your roots,
Filling your body with calm,
Steady warmth.
Every time you inhale,
You're bringing that energy into your body,
Helping you feel grounded,
Rooted.
Now let's breathe in through the nose again,
Expanding the belly.
Hold at the top for a second and then exhale through the mouth,
Allowing yourself to be supported by the surface beneath you.
Now I want you to imagine a soft,
Golden light surrounding you,
Kind of like a cocoon,
A protective shield that glows with warmth,
Strength,
And comfort.
This light is like the rays of the morning sun,
Gently shining on your face.
It allows only positive energy to flow in,
Like a gentle breeze just carrying the clouds across the sky.
At the same time,
It blocks out any negativity.
It shines on that negative energy and burns it away,
And lets it fall back into the earth.
Feel this warm,
Protective light wrapping around you,
Sealing in all of your calmness,
Strength,
And peace,
And having it burn away anything that doesn't serve you anymore.
Let's take another deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with light and energy.
Hold at the top,
Squeezing your whole body,
Focusing on your mind's eye.
And then as you exhale,
Say this affirmation either silently or out loud.
I am grounded.
I am protected.
Feel into the feelings and the power of these words.
Feel them settle into your being.
You are ready to step into your day,
Rooted,
And just ready for whatever the day brings you.
Let's take one more deep breath in through the nose,
And then as you exhale,
I want you to gently open your eyes and carry this energy and this protection with you all day.
