The intention of this meditation is to check in with our parts and cultivating a little more patience.

As we begin,

Take a moment to find a comfortable position.

Let your body settle.

No need to change it,

Just observe.

Let your inhale invite spaciousness and your exhale invite release.

Gently begin to turn your attention inward.

Notice what parts are present with you today.

You might feel their presence as sensations,

Thoughts,

Or emotions.

Simply greet them.

Hello,

I see you're here.

Let the idea of patience settle in your awareness.

Ask gently inside,

Which parts of me are asking for more patience today?

Wait and just listen.

You might notice a younger part.

Often our parts are younger or a tired part,

A frustrated protector.

There's no need to fix anything.

Just witness.

Bring your awareness to one part that is step forward.

Let it know,

I have time for you.

You don't need to rush.

Notice how it responds.

Let your breath move slowly and stay present.

And as you notice how it responds,

Check in and see how you're feeling toward that part when you notice that.

See if you can offer just a drop of compassion.

And if you can,

See how it responds to this.

You don't need to have it all figured out.

I'm not here to push you.

I'm here to stay with you.

If you're not feeling very compassionate,

That's another part that's coming forward.

See if that part could soften back knowing that it's a part of you too and it belongs.

Maybe make note.

Let it know that we can give it some attention to at another time.

And if it's able to soften back,

Thank it.

And turn back toward the part that you're focusing on.

And allow the part to feel a bit of calm or your steadiness.

You might even repeat softly.

I'm here.

I'm here.

Take just a bit more of pause and be with this part a little more.

When it feels complete for now and know that you can spend more time with this part and pause these recordings at any time if you need to.

When it feels complete for now,

Thank the part for being with you.

Let it know that you can spend more time with it if it would like that.

Maybe let it know when.

And expand your awareness out a little more and let all parts know.

Those that may have been able to soften and witness this that they can continue to share too and have their own special time.

Make note of that.

When you're ready,

You can return your awareness to the breath.

Feel the support of the ground beneath you.

Now close with this affirmation.

Healing happens at the pace of trust.

And I am learning to trust the pace.

Whisper that again.

Let any parts join in that may want to whisper too.

Healing happens at the pace of trust.

And I'm learning to trust the pace.

When you're ready,

Gently bring yourself back to the present moment,

The space around you.

You can open your eyes if they're closed.

Continue about life.

Thanks so much for your courage in meeting me here.

Take care.
