This guided relaxation is designed to help you learn to put up a shield or protective barrier around yourself to protect from negative or toxic energies from others whether intentional or unconscious. So that you can feel more comfortable going out into the world with so many different types of emotions and energies floating around or being around people who seem to drain or attack you.

There are times in all of our lives when we need some protection.

Times when we are feeling vulnerable or like we are under attack.

It can be difficult to maintain a positive outlook,

A positive emotional climate when we come across people who are mean,

Angry,

Or negative.

Sometimes it may feel that others negativity infects us,

Bringing down our mood,

Collapsing our field.

Well,

We can prevent this.

Today we are going to learn a simple way to protect ourselves.

Using our wonderful imagination.

Let's begin by focusing on our breath.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Breathe all the way down to your stomach and then slowly release the breath.

Good.

Again,

Take a slow breath in through the nose,

Breathe down deep into the body and then slowly release the breath.

Excellent.

As you begin to relax,

I would like you to imagine that you have a bubble that completely surrounds your body,

A bubble that is your own protective shield.

This bubble can be whatever shape you want it to be.

Circle,

Pyramid,

Diamond,

Whatever feels right to you.

It can also be whatever color you want it to be,

Blue,

Red,

Purple,

Green,

Rainbow,

Whatever feels good to you.

And it can be made of whatever material you want,

Rocks or crystals,

Fire,

Water,

Whatever feels good,

Whatever feels right.

Imagine now your own personal bubble,

Exactly the shape,

Color and material that best suits you.

And you feel safe and protected as it takes shape around you.

It is so strong and powerful.

When you begin to realize that this bubble can protect you in many ways,

Including from negativity,

It can protect from negative thoughts,

Negative emotions,

And negative intentions.

Your shield can stop them all.

What happens when they hit the shield?

Do they bounce off or dissolve against it,

Or do they transform into something more positive?

What feels most secure?

This is your shield,

And you can design and control it.

You decide how big it is,

How thick,

What it repels,

If it has any special features.

That's right.

Using your creative imagination,

You design a shield that best protects you.

You can fill up within the shield positive emotions and set a positive emotional climate for yourself to enjoy.

And you can carry the shield and that positive climate with you out into the world.

I would like for you now to picture yourself going about your life with the protective shield around you.

The world goes on and you go about your time and space,

But you are safe and protected.

Nothing can touch you or harm you.

You are safe.

You are protected.

This protective shield goes with you wherever you go,

Helping you maintain your positive emotional climate,

Helping you remain positive even when you find yourself surrounded by negativity.

Spend as much time as you like creating and enjoying your shield.

And when you are ready,

Simply open your eyes.
