The concept of healing doesn't seem like a destination.
Like,
I don't see myself ever getting to a point where I can then say,
Okay,
I'm now healed.
That doesn't seem to match my experience.
What I do see is a willingness to just keep exploring and keep running into patterns.
With a deeper willingness to see the lesson.
You know what it's like?
And this is a very rough visual,
But maybe it'll be a pointer.
Imagine you go to the gym and you're going to start lifting weights.
You pick up 20 pounds and you're like,
Oh gosh,
That's so heavy.
It's so hard.
And then you think,
Okay,
Once I'm able to lift it up 10 times,
Then I'll be healed.
Right?
Then I'll get there.
And so you go to the gym every day and you pick up 20 pounds.
You keep encountering the lesson and it gets easier and easier and easier.
To one point you show up and then lifting 20 pounds is just not a problem at all.
So what happens?
You move on to 30 pounds and now 30 pounds feels like 20 pounds used to feel.
It's hard.
And so as with life,
You encounter lessons that are hard or challenging and you keep engaging with them and they become lighter and lighter.
However,
Once it becomes easy,
A new lesson comes that is now heavy.
And so I don't see where there is a point that will come when it's just easy now.
Partly because in one way,
We're here to heal our perception.
We're here to see more love.
And so if we're here to see more of what is true,
Then you constantly have to be encountering the ways you don't see what's true.
Life shows you that.
I've used this example many,
Many times,
But maybe we can find agreement in one way where in essence,
We can say you're on a spiritual journey of seeing more of what is true.
And fundamentally,
It's craved.
And we can maybe tell a different story about it,
Like you're here to see more love.
Fine.
But ultimately it's the same thing.
And there's a fundamental drive within you to fulfill that call.
That's why you're here.
And life is in 100% support of you fulfilling that call of seeing more of what is true.
And so life says,
I'm going to support you.
And the way that I'm going to do that is I'm going to show you where you don't see what is true.
So that you can see what is true.
On the surface,
It looks like life is just trying to piss you off.
But life is actually doing what you asked.
Right?
You're saying,
Dear life,
I want more love.
Okay,
Let me show you where you don't see love.
So that you can see the love.
Do you see this?
It's like,
We're literally asking for it.
Literally asking for it.
I want more love.
Well,
My dear,
Love is what is.
So if you want more love,
You need to see what is.
Let me show you where you don't see it.
No,
I don't want to see that.
Well,
That's why you don't see it then.
Because you don't want to look.
It's interesting,
Like,
To the degree that we don't want to see the truth.
Especially when it's the truth that heals.
It's the truth that sets you free.
That's fascinating to me.
But I understand it.
I understand how threatening it is.
In one way,
You know,
It's like dying.
Right?
The truth rips away the lie that holds your whole world together.
The truth takes everything from you.
But,
You know,
Behind the facade of our ego,
What we actually want is the truth.
It's kind of like saying,
Oh,
I wish I could just be myself.
Which is letting the truth be the truth.
But then it's like,
Oh,
I'm so scared to just be myself.
Because if I just be myself,
Then I have to let go of the world and everything I think I want.
Which is really interesting,
And it's a whole other discourse.
But we get the things we want in the world based on a lie.
We withhold the truth so that we can hold on to things in the world.
We withhold the truth so that we can hold on to making sure people see us a certain way.
That's wild.
