Welcome to this imposter syndrome meditation.
This practice will allow you to relax and ease anxious thoughts surrounding imposter syndrome.
By taking a step back and identifying our thoughts,
It will help us to become at ease with them and let them go without giving them so much weight and meaning.
So when you're ready,
Settle yourself into a comfortable position.
Allow your eyelids to fall closed and begin to focus on your breath.
Let's take a couple of deep relaxing breaths to start.
A long inhale through the nose and releasing the breath out slowly and gently through the mouth.
Follow each breath with gentle awareness.
You are becoming very peaceful,
Very relaxed,
Cherishing this moment of solitude,
Of inner tranquility.
Taking a moment to enjoy the feelings,
Knowing that you have nothing to do,
Just breathe.
As you maintain this gentle awareness on your breath,
Give yourself a few seconds to allow the mind to wander.
Let it do whatever it wants to.
No judgment,
No control,
And let's take notice of what comes up.
Take the seat of the observer.
Begin to let go of anything that's been holding you back.
Doubts,
Worries,
Discomfort.
Acknowledge them and allow your exhale to take them away.
Know that you're accepted just the way you are.
You deserve to be here.
You deserve to be exactly who you are,
Doing what you're doing,
Teaching what you teach,
Feeling what you feel.
You deserve to have what you have and what you want to have.
You deserve to be on this earth and to live vibrantly.
I want you to take a moment to bring to mind something you're proud of yourself for.
This can be absolutely anything.
A talent,
A skill,
A specific project.
Give yourself a genuine and honest compliment.
Hold that feeling of pride and appreciation for yourself in your mind as you continue to breathe gently.
Now reflect on what you would like to bring into your life.
What are some of your goals and dreams?
And as you reflect on what you'd like to bring into your life,
Consider any doubts or fears that rise with them.
Now if this happens,
All you need to do is label those thoughts and feelings,
Saying to yourself,
This is just a thought,
This is just a doubt,
This is just a worry.
Whatever it may be,
Just notice those doubts are getting in the way of who you want to become,
Of what you want to achieve,
And what you would like to pursue.
And just bring to mind the most common doubts you notice.
Begin to question these doubts.
Begin to reflect on these doubts and begin to open up your intuition and creativity to resolve those doubts you may have about yourself and the goals you want to pursue.
Imagine what you would like to achieve if nothing stood in your way.
If you didn't feel doubtful or fearful or uncertain,
What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?
Allow yourself to sit with this in the stillness.
And on your next inhale,
Affirm to yourself,
I am free.
And on your exhale,
Say,
I released out.
Inhale,
I am free.
Exhale,
I released out.
Continue to breathe in,
I am free.
And exhale,
I released out.
As you begin to continue to picture you achieving all your dreams and goals,
Please know you can stay here as long as you'd like.
Inhaling,
I am free.
Exhaling,
I released out.
And staying in the safe space that you've created.
But if you're ready,
You can begin to slowly come out of this meditation by stretching in any way that feels comfortable.
Maintain the relaxation and peace that you found within yourself as you continue to come back to your surroundings,
Wiggling your fingers and toes and opening your eyes when you're ready.
Remember,
You are accepted just the way you are.
You deserve to be here.
You deserve to be exactly who you are,
Doing what you're doing,
Feeling what you feel,
Having what you have,
And wanting more.
Thank you for being here on this earth.
We appreciate you and love you.
Come back to this meditation anytime you need this reminder.
And have a great rest of your day.
Much love.
