We lose connection to the fundamental part of ourselves as we grow up. We disconnect from the child, as we learn how to navigate the world. Reconnection to this lost part of us is crucial to our resilience, well-being, and inner peace.

You're taking a nice deep breath with me,

Noticing yourself,

Relaxing and letting go,

Being aware of where your body is in contact with the furniture,

And as you listen to my voice,

You're dropping deeper and deeper into a beautiful,

Beautiful state of relaxation,

Taking your attention to the top of your head and working down,

Letting any tension go from your forehead,

Through your cheekbones,

Down through your face,

Loosening your jaw,

Relaxing the muscles in your neck and your shoulders,

Into your chest and down each arm,

Down through the torso,

Into the pelvis,

Down through the thighs,

Into the knees,

Into the lower leg,

Into the ankles,

Right through to the tips of your toes.

As you listen to my voice,

You find yourself standing in a beautiful forest where the colors are so vivid,

The acid greens of the undergrowth,

The dark,

Deep textures of the trunks of the trees,

The dappled sunlight,

Buttery yellow,

As it filters down through the forest canopy,

And the beams of light that come down through the canopy,

Touching the ground every so often,

Where it touches the ground,

There is a single purple flower.

As you're walking through this beautiful forest,

You hear the sounds of the forest.

What is it that you can hear?

Is it bird song?

Is it the rustling of the wind in the leaves?

Is it the sound of your footsteps coming underneath?

And what smells come up?

The smell of earth,

The smell of wind.

What tastes are there?

As you walk through this beautiful forest,

And the pathway widens and is flooded with gorgeous sunlight,

There is a gentle breeze as you walk forward.

As you walk forward,

That glorious sense of inner freedom,

Of relaxation,

Gets stronger and stronger.

And as you are walking forward,

You see that the path splits in two,

And you take the left-hand path,

Which slopes slightly down,

And down,

And down.

As you continue to walk,

You notice that the trees are thinning out in areas,

And those spaces are filled with these beautiful purple flowers.

And the odd one that you step on releases a beautiful scent.

You continue walking,

And these glades open up,

And they're bigger,

And they're filled with these beautiful flowers,

Until eventually you step into a massive meadow,

And these beautiful purple flowers stretch as far in front of you as the eyes can see.

And as you walk through this beautiful meadow,

You see these purple flowers rippling in the breeze,

And you turn around,

And you see that you've walked so far,

But the forest has disappeared.

And you continue to walk,

And as you walk in the distance,

You notice a beautiful building.

You're drawn to this building because you know it is significant.

And you walk to the steps that are at the bottom of the entrance to the building,

And you walk up these five steps,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Going in through the opening,

Whether it be an archway,

Or some doors,

Or a portal,

Or a curtain.

You walk through into a magnificent,

Huge room with high vaulted ceilings,

And beautiful cool paving slabs under your feet.

And in that room,

You meet somebody.

It's a younger version of you.

And you go,

And you see that this part of you that has been lost for so long,

And you sit with this part of you,

Pouring pure love onto this young part of you.

And you ask this part of you what it is that they need.

And you sit quietly there as they show you a memory,

Or they tell you of a memory.

And you sit there without judgment as you observe and you listen to this memory.

Then ask that beautiful younger part of you what it is that they need from you right now.

And regardless of what it is,

Give it to them.

It could be a new pair of shoes.

It could be an ice cream.

It could be purely you wrapping your arms around them.

Whatever it is that is being shown and told,

In your mind's eye,

Give that younger aspect of yourself what it is that they are asking for.

No matter how strange or peculiar,

Give it to them.

Remember that you're talking to a child.

Part of you isn't able to rationalize the way that you can now.

So put down your intimate and deliver to this child what it is what it is that they have said that they want.

And as they accept what it is,

Notice what they do.

Notice they feel joy and a smile rises.

Notice they are now recognized and accepted.

And take pleasure in what it is that you're viewing.

The same way that a nurturing mother would look at her child having fun and enjoying.

And now,

Noticing the happiness and the joy in that child's eyes,

Lean down and scoop up this precious,

Precious part and absorb that part of you that part of you into the hole with a beautiful,

Nurturing and warm,

Loving embrace.

Assuring that child they are safe from this part of the universe.

Now I want you to walk forwards and you'll see an opening or a doorway.

Going out into that doorway or through the doorway into a beautiful,

Manicured,

Well-kept garden.

And sit in that garden and appreciate that beautiful feeling of love and contentment and joy that you have within you right now.

And it is there for you to access at any point that you need to access it right now.

Notice where it is in your body and place your hand on that part of you right now.

Anytime you need to access that part,

That joy,

That contentment,

That peace,

It is there for you at any time.

And with three beautiful,

Deep breaths,

Noticing yourself coming back to the here and now.

One,

And breathing out with a smile that literally lifts up your cheek muscles.

Two,

Knowing that you can access that joy and that pleasure at any time.

And the third one,

You open your eyes,

Everything's looking brighter.

You're filled with curiosity and excitement about life.

Knowing that you've reclaimed a part of yourself that felt unsafe and now is content and full of love.

Coming back to me.

One,

And breathing out with a smile that literally lifts up your cheek muscles.

Two,

Three.

Have a fabulous,

Fabulous day.
