Energize with breath.

It's okay and quite natural to feel drained as we go about our work days.

Here we will use our breath to get energy flowing back through the body.

These exercises are best done sitting or even better standing.

Let's get ready.

I will demonstrate first.

To begin we will take a sharp full inhalation through the nose and then exhale it through the mouth with three short ha sounds really intentionally pushing the air out.

Here's an example.

I'll do it twice inhaling sharply and then releasing ha ha ha and again ready please join me in five rounds.

Here we go.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Good.

Next we will do ten rounds of deep energetic breathing adding some arm motions in if you are able.

I'll describe first and then we'll practice together.

Let your breath be quick to fill and quick to rush out.

Imagining your breath is like the rushing water of a river.

Now let's practice a breath with the arm movements.

Begin with your hands by your side.

As you inhale through your nose lift your hands up to the side just as high as they will go and then as you exhale through your mouth you can let them drop back down.

Inhale will be sharp arms lifting exhale to release.

Here's an example.

Inhale.

Release.

Feel free to adapt the pace for you so that you feel energized but not lightheaded.

Here we go.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Continue.

There you go.

Ah.

Practice this breathing whenever you need.

Enjoy being refreshed.

We wish you good healing.

Thank you so much I needed a nap soooooo bad but also need to get homework done. I have an A+ in the class and was so tired I was literally going to skip it and go to sleep. Thanks for showing me how to renergize without a nap or caffeine.
