Welcome to this meditative journaling experience to honor Lamas,

A pagan holiday that is part of the Wheel of the Year.

It is celebrated from August 1 to August 2 in the Northern Hemisphere,

And from February 1 to February 2 in the Southern Hemisphere.

Lamas occurs halfway between the summer solstice and the fall equinox,

And it celebrates the first harvest of the year.

This is a good time for you to celebrate and be thankful for all that you've harvested or accomplished in your own life.

It's also an ideal time to call forth and bring into focus whatever in your life is ready to be harvested at this time.

This could be a project,

Goal,

Or dream,

Perhaps something that is the result of a seed you planted in the spring.

This practice includes three journal prompts that focus on these themes.

If you enjoy working with oracle and tarot cards,

These prompts also double as a card spread.

You can draw a card for each question to get additional insight from your highest self or spirit team.

We will begin this practice with a meditation to connect to our personal light within,

Which will encourage us to bring ourselves and any projects,

Goals,

Or dreams into the light as we wrap up this season.

If you haven't done so already,

Go ahead and find a comfortable position for yourself to meditate and journal in today.

Have your journaling materials within reach,

And feel free to bring over anything else you might need to support you and make you feel at ease.

You may close your eyes if that feels right to you,

Or find a fixed point just ahead of you to gaze upon.

If it feels right,

I welcome you to bring one or both hands to your heart for this practice,

Or simply bring your attention to this space.

We'll begin by taking a few breaths together.

Release any breath that you are holding,

And then take a nice,

Deep breath in.

Feel your chest rise,

Then exhale,

Open mouth,

Sigh it out.

Feel your chest move back and in.

Inhale,

Fill your heart space with your breath,

Exhale,

Sigh it out and release.

Continue to breathe in and out of your nose at your own rhythm and pace,

Allowing your breath to flow in and out of your heart space.

I invite you now to imagine a glowing ball of rose gold light filling your heart space.

This rose gold light represents the love you have for yourself.

Without judgment,

Note how bright this light shines for you today.

Perhaps it is vibrant,

Or perhaps it is faded or a bit dim,

And in need of a boost.

Sit with this light and hold space for it however it appears now,

Knowing that it's natural for the strength of this light to vary from day to day.

Now it is time for you to nurture this light.

Take a few moments to consider what you've accomplished thus far in your life.

What are you proud of?

What can you celebrate or honor?

This can be anything from small wins and baby steps to big milestones and successes.

This is not the time to worry about being humble.

Consider this a time to express gratitude to yourself for all you've worked hard for and created,

For all of the changes you've navigated,

And for all the challenges you've risen above.

As you think of these accomplishments,

The rose gold light at your heart center expands and glows brighter.

With each accomplishment you consider,

It glows and grows.

Now that you've considered all that you can be proud of and celebrate about yourself,

It's time to channel this energy toward that which you are ready to harvest this season.

Bring to mind now any projects,

Goals,

Or dreams you have for yourself that you feel are ready to come to fruition,

To be brought into the light.

As you bring your awareness to that which is ready to be harvested,

Watch as this rose gold light from your heart expands outward like rays of sunshine,

Shining out of your chest.

This light grows slowly to surround you,

Filling the space you're in,

Making you feel warm and protected.

Carry this rose gold light within you this season as you bring any dreams or goals to harvest.

You may begin now to step back from this image of the light,

Bringing any insights you gained with you into your journaling practice.

Gently blink your eyes a few times to adjust back to your space.

I will give you 2 minutes to respond to each journal prompt,

And I will read each prompt for you twice.

When 30 seconds remain,

I will give you a cue to begin wrapping up your thoughts.

If you'd like to spend more time with a prompt,

Feel free to pause me or return to the question again later,

Using just these 2 minutes to get down your initial thoughts.

Go ahead and gather your journaling materials,

And we'll begin with our first prompt.

First,

What accomplishment am I being called to celebrate and acknowledge at this time?

Again,

What accomplishment am I being called to celebrate and acknowledge at this time?

Begin to wrap up your thoughts.

Second,

What project,

Dream,

Or goal is ready to be brought into the light and harvested?

Again,

What project,

Dream,

Or goal is ready to be brought into the light and harvested?

Let your final thoughts flow onto the page.

And finally,

How can I show gratitude for all I've accomplished and all that I am about to harvest?

Again,

How can I show gratitude for all I've accomplished and all that I am about to harvest?

Release your final thoughts.

If you feel complete,

You may set your journaling materials aside now,

Or feel free to pause me if you'd like to continue writing.

I welcome you to take any small movements you might need,

Perhaps beginning with rolling out your wrists,

Or rolling your shoulders back and down.

Take a few breaths to bring yourself back into the present moment.

With much love and gratitude,

I bring our journaling practice to a close.

I encourage you to revisit your responses to these journal prompts and to the messages from any cards you pull as you wrap up the summer season.

I have pulled my own cards for the collective in response to each of these questions,

And if you'd like to receive the collective messages,

I invite you to join my group here on Insight Timer,

Journaling with Oracle and Tarot.

I will be posting the cards and messages there.

You can find this group on my teacher profile page.

Just scroll down to the bottom of the Home tab to view my groups and to join.

I also invite you to follow me if you'd like to be notified of any new meditations or courses.

Thank you again so much for joining me.

May we journal together again soon.
