This is a lovely morning ritual meditation centred around silence and quiet contemplation. This is best for meditators who prefer less guidance. The meditation opens with mindful breathing and holding of the breath as we ground, center, and release. Then, there are a few brief questions for you to contemplate as you begin your day. Finally, we allow four full minutes of silence. Enjoy a silent retreat and cultivate peace as you begin your new day.

Good morning.

I hope your sleep was easeful and you are well rested.

And if you are not,

I hope this meditation will help you ease into a new day.

For every day is a new day for us to welcome new beginnings,

New energy,

And new starts.

So whether you are already up or still in bed,

Let us start the day with mindful breathing before we ease into silent contemplation.

Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.

Feel the ground beneath you,

The steadiness of the earth.

And take a deep breath in and exhale,

Centering,

Grounding into the now.

Take another deep breath in through your nose and feel it fill your belly,

Ribs,

And chest.

Hold for a moment,

Letting that energy sit and swirl.

And then slowly exhale through your mouth as if blowing through a straw,

Letting the air release last night's sleep,

Any morning racing thoughts.

Allow that air to exit your body and feel it empty.

And let's take another inhale deep into the belly,

Filling it,

Filling your ribs and chest,

Letting the air hold still,

Collecting any energy that you want to release.

And then exhale slowly,

Releasing,

Releasing anything you don't need this morning.

One more time,

Let your breath gather and inhale deep,

Gathering your energy and holding it,

Filling your body,

Thinking about what you want to bring in and what you want to release.

And when you're ready,

Exhale slowly.

And now returning to normal breathing,

Observing your breath.

Now,

Before we enter silence,

Here are some questions to contemplate for your day.

What energy do I want to bring today?

What is my intention for the day?

What can I do to bring me joy today?

What can I recognize in myself and be proud of?

And finally,

What am I grateful for?

Remember,

These are just seeds to sow.

Thoughts and questions for you to think about as you begin your day.

Now,

Let those questions fade.

It's okay if your brain races and thoughts fill.

Observe them,

Observe them,

And bring your mind back to your breath and release.

Observe them,

Observe them,

And bring your mind back to your breath and release.

Any thoughts that come can simply be released.

And let yourself focus on your breath as we enter silence for this morning.

Okay,

Now deepen your breath and focus on the inhale and exhale.

Allow yourself to ease back into the room.

Here we are.

Here you are.

What did that silence bring you?

What did that silence give you?

Now,

Let me welcome you to your beautiful day,

And I hope that the silent energy brings you peace as you move forward.

My favorite type of meditation. Guidance to get me started, then silence to actually meditate. Thank you
