Fogg the giant moves into his new cave, eager to meet his tiny neighbour, the Squishies, but terrified by his size, they light a fire to scare him away. Exploring themes of friendship and loneliness, Fogg must find a way to save the day when a fire sprite appears, causing chaos, and proves that unlikely friendships can blossom in the most unlikely places. A bedtime story to teach children the value of not judging appearances, friendship, resilience, and doing the right thing (which may not always be the easy thing)

Fog on the Mountain Down in a valley all sunny and breezy The squishies lived lives that were pleasant and easy But as all the squishies were squashy and small they didn't like anything bigger at all The giant or ogre might squish us they cried as They planned in their heads the best places to hide But then came the day that all squishies most feared way up in the mountains a giant appeared Fog found a cavern to make all his own and cleared it of cobwebs and conifer cone He swept out the dirt and laid matting instead Then slept in his huge and plump comfortable bed fog Woke the next day and the weather was pleasant He gathered the squishies some blooms as a present I'll ask them to supper.

He thought with a smile a buffet to celebrate friendship in style The rumble he made woke the squishies from dreaming they spied fog approaching and all Started screaming They lit the camp bonfire to scare him away and fog fled knowing he wasn't welcome to stay The squishies were thankful Went the cheer what utter relief we made him disappear The bonfire they'd built then belched out a crackle Rocketing higher it let out a cackle from out of the blazes a fire sprite appeared with flames sprouting out of his head and his beard this mischievous sprite Purely lived for foul play He blackened the roofs of four houses that day He singed squishy gardens.

He melted their gold They'd never encountered a creature so bold And they begged him for mercy The sprite sputtered.

No,

It's far too much fun setting fires just to go In his mountainous cave fog heard sniffles and tears with his marvelous hearing and gigantic ears He may have been cautioned to never return But how could he leave the whole village to burn?

Some things fog considered should not be obeyed Some things were much bigger than being afraid Down in the valley the squishies were scattered Livestock were terrified crops and plants battered But fog lumbered over and snatched up the sprite while squishies gasped loudly expecting a fight the fire sprite Astonished let out a scorched shout but fog leaned in closer and Blew him out Till all that was left was a burned little stick and a giant who'd sorted the problem snap quick The squishies were thrilled What a very near miss They leapt on the giant to give him a kiss The squishies cheered loudly but squeezed by them all ah fog wobbled then toppled and Started to fall He crashed to the ground landing smack on his rear Squashing a squishy who'd wandered too near.

Oh No bellowed fog as they all heard the splat and Gazed at the squishy squish squashed pancake flat But with a loud pop and with no hint of pain the squishy plit plopped into shape right as rain and Giggling squealed.

Can we do that again?

The squishies fog realized they all had the knack you could squish him or squash him then watch him bounce back That night at a party held up in fogs cave the squishies raised glasses to fog being brave and fog felt complete Quite at home sitting there With his new friends all squished in his giant sized chair The end
