This Sanctuary of Power Meditation (inspired by Ally Boothroyd) was recorded live in real-time to Relaxing Piano Music by Kevin McLeod. We'll relax deeply and then connect to a moment in time, real or imagined, where we felt connected to the qualities, resources, and feeling states that are most intrinsic to us -- although perhaps forgotten. Then, we'll let go of the image, allowing the feeling to subsist and amplify, coming to the embodied realization that we are the source of these qualities as they flow back to us abundantly in beautiful fashion. Repeat this session as desired to cultivate your inner sanctuary of power, and practice summoning it at will in your daily life until it is the steady undertone to your existence.

Hey,

It's Cyrus.

Remember that inner feeling of power and love,

Connection and resourcefulness that maybe you've forgotten?

Maybe you think you can't access that anymore.

Maybe you think it's gone to the past,

But we're going to connect to it.

We're going to go into that sanctuary of power where it lies and bring it back so it can be the background to your life once more.

So go ahead and find a comfortable position.

I suggest lying down for this one and settle in.

Let your body fall into the support.

Let yourself breathe a little bit slower,

A little bit deeper.

Notice the sound of the piano washing through your body and feel yourself decompressing.

Allow the eyes to close if they weren't already and let the world fade away as you tune into yourself and feel the top of your head and let go of thoughts as you tune into your forehead Feel the breath at your nostrils dancing gently.

Notice your lips,

Your jaw,

Your neck.

Feel the attention cascade across the collarbone and into the shoulders,

Dropping down to the upper arms and the lower arms,

Into the palms of the hands and the thumbs,

Index fingers and the middle fingers,

Ring fingers and the pinky fingers,

Finding a rhythm as you wash back up into the chest and the upper back,

The lower back and rising to the belly.

Feel the pelvis and the glutes,

The hamstrings and the quads on the front of your thighs,

The knees and the shins,

The calves and the ankles,

The heels and the soles of your feet,

Into the toes and just feel yourself resting on the support,

Feeling the back of the body merging magnetically with the support as you let yourself go,

Keeping your mind awake and alert as you relax effortlessly,

More deeply.

Feel your whole body buzzing head to toe now with quiet vibration,

Pleasant life energy dancing in the cells,

Feel it amplifying gently,

Steadily as you breathe and flow with what you sense right now and now let's cultivate the sanctuary of power,

Just notice what qualities you've become disconnected from that are most innate to who you are,

Maybe it's stillness or joy,

Love,

Connection,

Openness,

Playfulness,

Just notice which of those qualities or anything else that might be calling to your soul now and just allow your mind to start to float and gravitate towards a place or a memory,

A moment in time where you felt those qualities clearly and strongly or you might choose to imagine something but just notice what arises the most clearly and start to feel yourself gently emerging into that space,

Notice if you're alone or if there's someone else with you and if this feels like a good and safe place to be,

Just feel yourself start to relax into it,

Let go of your muscles,

Let go of trying and simply trust this moment as you feel yourself ease and sink effortlessly back into it in a way that allows you to start to float pleasantly in this place,

Notice what you see with vivid detail 360 degrees,

Notice what you hear in this space,

Notice if there's a smell,

A scent that wafts through your system,

Notice any sense of touch or even the air on your skin and allow this place,

This moment to become totally vivid,

Totally real to you experiencing it fully and notice the qualities that it has that it helps you to feel,

Does it connect you to a feeling of expansiveness,

Stillness,

Love,

Ease or what does it help you to connect with and just allow those feelings and states to flow through you easily,

Freely,

Abundantly in this moment feel the inner power of that sanctuary reverberating through your body,

Through your cells,

Allow it to amplify,

Allow those qualities and feelings to grow stronger without limit to encompass your entire being in this moment and as you remember these feelings,

It's almost as if these feelings are remembering you and now let go of that place,

Let go of the image,

Drop it all and allow the feeling and energy to remain in your body,

Imagine it's possible to feel it fully and freely without the outside stimulus,

Just allowing it to course through your body and your cells with ease as you breathe and pay attention to those powerful qualities rolling through you joyously notice how you have the power and capacity now to feel and connect to those qualities you've forgotten without anything external to summon them within yourself and feel the empowerment of that as you allow them to circulate through you notice how you are the source of this power,

Notice how you feel it from within and so you are your own sanctuary of power and familiarize yourself with those energies,

With the signature of those qualities as they course through you,

Get to know that feeling,

That state of being allow it to marinate and deepen as you simmer with those sensations as they expand and amplify abundantly,

Joyously take a moment now to visualize yourself calling up that inner sanctuary through your daily life,

Either with that image or simply calling up the energetic signature of that state of being of your inner sanctuary see yourself practicing that so it becomes the undercurrent of your daily life and I invite you to cultivate this either with this session or simply calling up that energy on a regular basis so that you reconnect to that feeling,

Remember those qualities,

Allow them to amplify as a source of inner power as you practice and to spend as long as feels good in that state and simply return one moment at a time at your own rhythm thank you for taking this time for yourself today,
