Hey,
I'm Cyrus.
Welcome to this meditation for healing physical pain and discomfort.
Whether what ails you is acute or chronic,
Let's get you feeling better.
Eliminate any distractions.
Put your phone on do not disturb and sit or lay down in a comfortable position and allow your eyes to close.
And before we begin,
Take a moment to observe and locate the most challenging area of your body in terms of pain or discomfort sensations.
Take a moment to rate that intensity on a scale of 1 to 10 and make a mental note of that number before we begin.
Take a deep slow breath into your diaphragm and slowly release it through the mouth.
One more like that leading the breath into the chest,
Into the belly and slowly decompressing as you let it go through the mouth.
Let's do two breath holds now breathing in through the nose,
Filling up the whole body with the breath,
Holding the breath and feeling the body as you hold for a couple moments and slowly releasing through the mouth.
One more like that breathing in deep to every cell of the body,
Holding the breath at the top,
Calm and relaxed as you hold and feeling the body and space around you as you hold and very slowly releasing through the mouth.
Now allow your tongue to relax to the floor of your mouth.
Release any tension in your legs and feet,
Letting them sink into the support,
Feeling your pelvic floor gently dropping into the support as well,
Unclenching any tension in your back,
Allowing the chest and stomach to open and soften as much as possible,
Feeling your neck and shoulders gently drop and release any tension.
Staying awake in your mind as the arms and hands release any doingness,
Any effort and are simply allowed to stand by and chill out.
And now with the whole body a little bit more relaxed and saturated with breath,
Feel the whole body head to toe at the same time for a moment.
And whatever you feel,
Aim to shift from a mode of any resistance to one of allowing and alignment.
Simply allow yourself to feel whatever is there,
Even though it might be challenging.
And now think of a moment that was loving or when you felt some kind of love.
Connect with that moment.
Feel it in your heart as much as you can.
And now using the breath as a funnel,
Start to send that energy from your heart to the part of your body that most needs healing right now.
Nothing to think about,
Simply breathing in that love through the heart and on the exhale sending it,
Directing it from the heart towards that part of the body.
You can imagine it as a light or vibration of any color that you prefer and keep finding your rhythm,
Sending it with each breath into that area of the body that wants to be healed.
Imagining and feeling the breath as a cooling loving influence,
Calming and cooling the intensity of the pain and discomfort in that area,
Bringing down that intensity,
Lowering it with each subsequent focused breath.
Now,
Going beyond the heart and beyond the self and feeling all the love of the universe,
Of the space around you,
Breathing it in from all around you into every cell of the body on the inhalation and sending that massive wave of love straight into the part of the body that wants to be healed.
Keep dropping thoughts,
Keep letting go of past and future and drawing in that wave of love on the inhalation and letting it wash through to that area of the body.
Having compassion for ourselves and for our pain and discomfort and within that compassion welcoming in the possibility of healing,
Of allowing that intensity to lower as we continue to draw that huge wave of love from every nook and cranny of the universe with the inhalation and aim it straight at that area of the body that benefits from that energy of love on the exhale.
Letting go of all tension,
All concern as you feel that wave of breath drawing in on the inhalation,
Elevating you,
Raising your frequency,
Healing you with each breath and each moment of connection to this energy.
Feeling the whole body becoming more and more deeply relaxed,
Every cell opening,
Relaxing the energy more smoothly communicating and allowing this feeling of openness to hold a space for you as you are.
Starting to relax the breath and to allow it to flow to you however it wants to naturally in this moment.
Noticing the sensation in the difficult area of the body,
Noticing if it's lowered in your perception and feeling on a scale of 1 to 10 in intensity.
Noticing what that new number is,
Allowing yourself to feel whatever it is and with whatever sensations remain just notice that a sensation is happening.
This is something we can repeat anytime we notice these sensations,
The phrase a sensation is happening.
And by adopting this reminder we start to lower the intensity of the stories and constructs around these sensations,
Reduce the suffering we feel about them and simply experience it as it is,
As a sensation that is happening in the moment and we don't have to fear the sensation just seeing it as something that's simply present in this moment and allow ourselves to heal and let it go as much as we're able to.
Take a moment to visualize,
See and feel yourself totally healed in this moment.
Feeling and feeling yourself free of pain and discomfort,
Planting the seed in your subconscious for your total healing.
Take as long as you want to rest in this state of relaxation and connection to that healing energy of love.
When you feel ready very gradually open your eyes,
Moving slowly at your own pace and allow yourself to be slow and steady and focus on one moment at a time as you carry this healing energy back with you into your day.
