Hey,
I'm Cyrus.
Welcome to this Love It All meditation to develop the capacity to love everything and respond with love to everything that arises.
Unless you're a saint,
This meditation will probably be challenging at some point or another,
But the more you practice it,
The more you'll be amazed at how you can grow your ability in this.
Two quick things to keep in mind before we begin to set yourself up for the most success is first of all,
To just be aware that when we say love,
We're just talking about a lovingness,
An open,
Embracing,
Internal attitude.
We're not necessarily talking about a sentimental love,
And we're not talking about literally loving something terrible.
We're referring more to an internal,
Open,
Embracing,
And flowing with instead of against type of perspective.
The second thing to keep in mind is subconsciously sometimes we resist loving things in the world or other people that we don't like for fear that if we embrace or love them that they won't change.
But it can be helpful to be aware that often the opposite is true,
And that by loving and embracing something it creates a foundation for it to change even more rapidly,
And that just because you choose to be loving or accept something on the inside doesn't mean you still can't take appropriate action on the outside.
So with that in mind,
Find a position that's comfortable for you.
Take a deep,
Slow breath in,
Close your eyes,
And exhale out through your mouth as you relax your muscles.
Take one more,
Even slower,
Deep breath in,
And exhale even slower on the way out,
Releasing any remaining tension that you notice in the muscles.
And I invite you to begin by,
In your mind's eye,
Picturing a time where you felt unconditional love.
Maybe you were receiving it,
Maybe you were giving it,
Maybe it was flowing both ways,
But just tune into that now,
Or simply imagine a situation like that if nothing immediately comes to mind.
And start to tune into your body and particularly your heart center as you notice the feelings that arise,
Perhaps the inner warmth and soft,
Stable gentleness that starts to simmer as you tune into that memory or visual.
Embrace those feelings and invite them to flow even stronger and circulate through all the cells of the body with each breath,
Deepening and thickening your awareness of that energy.
And imagine now as if the source of that unconditional love is something that's a part of you,
But it's also beyond you,
As if you're a water droplet in a bigger ocean,
And you are made of that unconditional love,
But you're also swimming in it,
Floating in it,
Connected to an infinitely vast source of it that is carrying you,
And unthinkably greater and more powerful than your individual self.
And feel yourself sinking up and harmonizing with this greater energy so that you feel a higher magnitude of this unconditional love,
Feeling it,
Not thinking it,
Sensing the vastness of that,
Uplifting you past what your mind can even comprehend.
And now I first invite you to be aware of people in your life.
It could be people close to you,
It could be anyone,
So long as it's not overwhelming,
And if it is,
You can let them go for now,
But otherwise,
Whoever arises in your consciousness,
Take a moment to connect with them in your mind's eye and send them this energy of lovingness without condition,
Without limitation.
If it feels right,
Bypass your mind and simply send them this energy directly flowing out of your heart.
Once you've made this loving connection,
Let them go and notice the next person who arises and repeat this process in a way that feels natural and spontaneous.
And if limitations or hesitations arise,
Notice those energies within you and love them too with a total open understanding lovingness so that you stay in harmony and flow with that outpouring of lovingness.
You might notice an unconscious tendency to give different amounts of love to different people that arise in your consciousness,
And without judgment,
I invite you to see if you can allow the same fullness of love to flow freely and unconditionally to all people that arise,
As if it's all the same in this moment.
And perhaps take a moment now to visualize yourself responding to those in your life with love.
Whatever they bring you,
Even if it bothers you initially,
Imagine choosing to respond with love.
On a practical level,
This could mean removing yourself from the situation,
But imagine responding however you do,
From an energy internally of love.
Feeling that in your body as you practice envisioning responding that way in your mind now.
And now let that go,
Let others go,
You can practice more later if you'd like,
But simply turn your spotlight of attention to yourself now.
Be aware of yourself as if you were watching yourself,
As if you're someone that you're responsible for and taking care of in a loving,
Nurturing,
Non-judgmental way.
And as you turn to yourself in this way,
Notice what you notice about yourself.
What aspects,
Qualities,
Thoughts,
Or feelings arise?
And as they do,
See if you can practice being unconditionally loving to everything that arises about yourself.
If it piques your curiosity,
See if you can be radical about it and treat it as an experiment in this moment,
Even things that you wouldn't normally show that full flow of love towards,
Take it as an opportunity to practice doing that right now,
Enthusiastically embracing every single thing that arises about you.
Even if there's a subtle non-acceptance of certain things,
See if you can love and embrace that non-acceptance energy,
The part of you that struggles to fully love and embrace certain things,
Just love that too,
In this moment,
As if you're going a level above and finding a way to love and embrace whatever is there,
Making it meta.
And envision practicing responding to yourself with love.
Whatever arises within you,
Thoughts or feelings,
See yourself in the moment in your life choosing to respond with love and feeling the transformative effect in your body that you notice as you see yourself practicing that now.
And now shift your attention to your life.
Perhaps there are situations that you appreciate and are grateful for,
And other aspects of your life that you judge,
That you resist,
That you just don't like.
And perhaps part of you takes it for granted that that's just what it is,
That it couldn't be any other way.
But maybe that subtle resistance is keeping things subtly stuck in place.
So if it feels safe,
As an experiment,
Start to be aware of whatever arises when you think about your life situation and the situations within that.
And notice what happens as you practice being totally loving,
Loving it all,
Every single aspect that arises that you're aware of about your life,
Simply choosing that unconditional lovingness in this moment.
Letting go of fear that those situations won't change if you embrace them,
And instead opening to the possibility that you'll be gifted with more flow and energy as you internally choose to love and open to them,
Continuing to send them that embracing energy for a moment.
And now let that go and finally we'll turn our attention to just a freestyle.
Don't worry I'm not gonna rap,
It just means whatever you choose to send your love to.
It could be aspects of the world that you struggle to embrace.
It could be pet peeves or things that normally bother you,
So you might choose to be intentional about what you want to work on being more loving towards.
Or you might take this final stretch to just notice whatever arises in your consciousness and practice being equally and unconditionally loving and open and embracing towards it,
Allowing that to unfold with your heart open now.
And as you continue for a few more moments,
Really allow that energy of your heart to open fully,
To flow with that love enthusiastically and fully towards whatever you're choosing Or whatever's arising as if you're sinking up with that greater ocean of unconditional love that can supercharge your capacity to feel that beyond the mind's normal capacity,
Allowing that to flow freely now.
And just notice how that feels in the body and spirit,
Any ways that it's re-alchemized things within you and shifted in a positive way.
And set the intention now if it's helpful to practice this actively throughout your day and going forward,
To love it all and respond to whatever or whoever arises with that lovingness to the best of your ability,
Trusting you can deepen that capacity with practice,
So just embracing that intention to make it an active practice now if it feels good to you.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes,
Slowly warm back up at your own pace and consciously bring that loving attitude and energy back with you,
Moment to moment.
