Welcome to this burrito meditation to become your inner burrito and transform yourself into the ultimate state of comfort and relaxation.
This is a great session if you wanna take a break and recharge or if you wanna snuggle up and turn into a roasty toasty little burrito before bedtime.
And hey,
Everyone likes burritos,
Right?
Except for the people who don't.
Start off by getting into a comfortable position,
Lying down like you're resting on a slow and simmering grill that's warming you at the perfect temperature.
Imagining yourself as an open-faced tortilla,
Facing up towards the sky in utter relaxation.
And once you've found that comfortable position,
Settle into an easy stillness.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and imagine it as the first waves of warmth making its way through the membranes of the tortilla,
Warming you up slowly as you breathe deeply in,
Filling up the whole tortilla body with the breath.
And exhaling out through the mouth,
Embracing that relaxation and warmth on the way out.
One more slow,
Deep breath in,
Opening everything up,
Allowing all the tension to melt away and feeling any tightness dissipate as you exhale slowly now,
Easing in to an effortless stillness,
Allowing your breath to return to normal now.
And now start to listen to all the sounds emanating around you,
Imagining them as the pleasant din of the kitchen that surrounds you in its quiet chaos.
And you,
The burrito to be at the eye of the storm,
Listening to the details of the sounds,
Shifting out of human thinking mode and into burrito feeling mode.
A burrito doesn't think,
It simply senses and experiences.
It's burritoness.
And now start to lay the foundational elements of your existence,
Feeling your stomach as if it were the beans,
Maybe black beans or pinto,
Maybe refried if you're feeling casual,
Just breathing through an awareness of the bean stomach now.
And now rising up to the chest and feeling a spoonful of rice being plopped gently into the chest cavity,
Feeling whether it's brown rice,
Jasmine rice,
Perhaps little sprinkles of cilantro chopped and mixed,
But feeling the chest rice cavity rising and falling with the breath now.
Rising up to the center of the neck with your awareness now,
And perhaps feeling a smattering of pico de gallo being plopped on top.
It's endless freshness,
Revivifying the energy at the center of your neck as you breathe and flow.
Rising up to the center of the forehead with your awareness now,
Imagine as though a drop of hot sauce or perhaps a more mild salsa,
If that's all you can handle in this moment is being dropped into the mind's eye and clearing out all remaining thought,
Leaving nothing but a vast,
Empty,
Pleasantly vibrating space within the head.
And now take a slow,
Deep breath in and imagine your energy rolling down from the top of your body towards the bottom,
Tracking it like an electric waterfall of freshly squeezed lime juice,
Dropping down into the legs and feet.
And imagine your legs and feet as your protein of choice.
What would you like today?
Do you feel like a vegan or a carnivore?
Will you select a bushel of chickpeas or a serving of pulled pork?
Scouring the menu and feeling your legs and feet as this protein of choice as you flow with the breath.
And now rise up to the arms and hands and feel yourself ladling out copious guacamole or sour cream or both,
If you're feeling deliciously greedy and feeling the arms and hands flowing with the breath as they turn into these soft,
Relaxed putties of optional topping land.
A go of any remaining tension on the subsequent breaths as you flow head to toe in your body burrito.
Start to become completely aware of all the subtle electric vibrations and feel them as the subtle sprinkles of freshly grated shredded cheese raining down upon your blissful existence as you feel yourself becoming more energy than matter.
And now start to become aware of and feel the space around you,
Feeling and welcoming the entirety and the vastness of the universe.
Feel it moving,
Expanding,
And contracting with the breath,
With you in this moment,
Tuning into and feeling its rhythm in a way that only a burrito can.
And now imagine the universe gently folding in towards you,
Meeting you halfway so it becomes one with you like the gentle lapels of the tortilla are wrapping around you in a soothing way,
Breathing in the sense of being safely cradled in its weedy wings.
Imagine the furthest reaches of the universe and all of its wonders and splendor meeting you halfway and gently wrapping around you like a protective foil to keep all your warmth in,
To preserve and retain the fulfillment of all the toppings that rest within your domain.
And now simply concentrate on a feeling of oneness and stillness.
You have no responsibilities and you can let go of the past and future and simply be here completely now.
You are a burrito now.
Enjoying focusing on the feeling of oneness and stillness for a few effortless moments now.
Brilliant work.
When you feel ready,
You can either choose to return to your human form by wiggling your fingers and toes and then slowly moving at your own pace back into your day,
Retaining the feelings of fulfillment,
Peace,
And oneness that come along with being a burrito.
Or for the time being,
You can simply choose to rest in this state of burritoness and perhaps drift off to sleep,
Of course remembering to reclaim your humanity upon waking.
