Let's meet our wise self meditation.
I'm Jessica Brown.
Spend the next few moments and minutes making sure that you're in a place that you're not going to be distracted.
Let's start this meditation by focusing on your breath.
Take a few deep breaths,
Noticing that your breath can travel to any place in your body that might be holding stress,
Tension,
Worry,
Apprehension.
Your breath is very effective to help support those places inside of you that might be holding those things.
You might even want to imagine that your breath is a wave that can travel all the way from your head down to the tips of your toes.
Just taking a few more seconds here,
Breathing,
Just bringing your awareness all the way into this moment,
Letting go of anything that's been going on in your day,
Allowing for the next few minutes to be time just for you.
And while I'll be guiding you on this meditation,
Know that only do what's comfortable for you.
So on the last few breaths before we get started,
Imagine that you can drop an anchor.
An anchor is a place that is comfortable,
Serene,
And beautiful to you.
It can be a place in nature,
A place inside your body,
A state of awareness,
Even something as simple as an anchor down into the center of the earth.
Set the intention now that this anchor point is a place that you can come back to that's grounding and safe,
And you can come back to your anchor place by simply taking a breath at any time during this meditation.
So now as we begin,
I'd like you to imagine that in your body,
Your physical heart,
Place your awareness on your physical heart.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
You might even place your hand,
Your right hand over your heart.
Just notice how warm and comfortable it feels to place your own hand over your heart as it releases the same neurochemicals as getting a hug.
So as we continue on this meditation,
You'll be hugging yourself,
Providing the safety and the comfort.
So see yourself now looking at your physical heart and notice with your imagination that behind your physical heart is your compassionate heart.
Go ahead and use your imagination to fill in anything that I'm prompting you to do.
And notice that it's easy to imagine your compassionate heart.
It is a living place inside of you that is real.
So as you have your awareness on your compassionate heart,
Imagine that you can go into your compassionate heart.
You can actually see yourself as you would standing in a room inside your compassionate heart.
What does that look like in there?
What does it feel like?
And in this compassionate heart room of yours,
I want you to notice that there's a beautiful door.
This door is where we're going to walk through onto a path to meet your wise,
Compassionate self.
So see yourself now walking through that door.
What does your path look like?
Is it in nature?
Is it a hallway?
Just keep walking on this path,
Noticing and observing what the path looks like.
And we won't be on this path long because at the end of this path,
There is a room you're going to walk into.
This is the room where your compassionate,
Wise self lives.
It's going to be meeting you today.
So see yourself now stepping over a threshold into a new room,
Your compassionate,
Wise self room.
And there in that room is your compassionate,
Wise self.
Now your compassionate,
Wise self might look like you,
And it also might just appear to be like an energy or a presence.
Just trust whatever comes forward.
Look over so that you can get close to your wise,
Compassionate self.
Notice how it feels inside your body to be able to be so close to something that loves you so much.
Your compassionate,
Wise self embodies true compassion for you,
Unconditional love,
Wisdom,
And support,
And your wise,
Compassionate self loves you so much,
It won't conflict or inflict on your life.
It's ready to visit you anytime you'd like.
Perhaps your wise self will convey a message to you about the joy that they feel that you've come to visit.
Just notice what it feels like to be in the presence of support and kindness and love.
And most importantly,
Your compassionate self understands what your life has been good.
So as you're standing there,
Ask your compassionate self,
What would you like me to know?
What would you like me to know about what I'm feeling challenged by right now?
How can you support me?
Understand and just notice and wait for a moment to see if anything comes forward.
Be open to what might come forward.
It could be a feeling,
It could be a message,
A thought,
It could be an image.
Just trust what comes forward.
It could just be a knowing and a feeling less alone.
And through that and with that,
There is love.
Your compassionate wise self is here to unconditionally love you,
To guide you,
To support you,
For you to know that you're not going to be alone and that you haven't done anything wrong.
Just spend a moment here taking some breaths,
Noticing what you experience in the presence of your wise,
Compassionate self,
Guiding you,
Providing you with comfort,
Wisdom,
Advice.
As the two of you are there together,
There is love,
There is kindness.
What would it feel like if you were to give a message to your wise,
Compassionate self?
Thank you for sharing what you have with me.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
And thank you.
You can thank your wise,
Compassionate self now for meeting with you and knowing that they are there for you at any time.
And by simply going to visit them,
They can provide support for you.
So see yourself now walking back,
Back down the path that you came on,
Back through the door into your compassionate heart room,
Noticing that your physical heart is here and then taking a breath to come back into the room that you're in now.
Coming all the way back into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Fluttering your eyelids,
Feeling refreshed and ready to start whatever the rest of your day holds for you.
Opening your eyes and enjoying the rest of your day.
