Today's meditation is for inner peace and calm,
So perhaps you might be feeling a little bit stressed,
A little bit anxious,
A little bit overwhelmed.
This is a great meditation for you to listen to,
To help bring you back,
To help you connect,
To slow everything down,
To help you regroup,
To help you reset,
To help you feel calm,
Balanced,
Centered and at peace.
We all have times in our lives,
Days,
Sometimes those days turn into weeks,
Where everything feels too much,
Where we feel like we're very busy in our heads,
We're emotionally reactive,
It feels like we're walking through quicksand,
Huge amount of resistance to everything,
And just to accept that sometimes we can feel like that,
That it's okay,
It's part of being human,
But that we do have a choice and we can choose to think differently,
To feel differently,
To act differently,
But to do that from that place of internal chaos and stress and overwhelm is very challenging.
So what we want to do is just create a circuit breaker,
Place a space where we can just pause,
Slow everything down,
Let everything go,
Just for a few minutes,
To press the reset button,
So that we can come at where we are in life,
From a calmer,
More balanced,
More peaceful perspective,
And from that place of calm,
Balance and peace,
We're going to be able to think differently,
Feel differently and behave differently.
So what I want you to do,
If you haven't already,
Is just close your eyes,
With your hands resting loosely in your lap,
If you're sitting down,
Or just gently by your side,
Palms facing upwards,
If you're lying down,
And just focus on your breath.
Notice your breathing,
Become aware of the breath moving in and out,
Just focus on your breath,
Any breathing is okay,
Be aware of your breathing,
Shallow,
And if you're breathing shallow,
With each breath in,
Just bring in a little bit more oxygen,
With the breath feel everything start to calm down,
Gently breathing in and releasing the breath,
There's no pressure on the breathing,
Just allowing yourself to be with the breath,
And just quietly in your mind,
Repeat after me,
I give thanks for the joy of living and being alive,
I am calm and at peace,
I give thanks for the joy of living and being alive,
I am calm and at peace,
I give thanks for the joy of living and being alive,
I am calm and at peace.
Now we're going to bring your attention back to your breath,
Be aware of and almost listen to the sound of your breath,
Blowing softly and gently through your nose,
Then calmly and evenly out through your mouth,
Notice the temperature of the air as it enters your nostrils,
And the temperature of the air as you exhale through your mouth,
Become aware of the flow of air through your body,
With each breath in,
Become aware of the air coming through your nose,
Into your lungs,
Bloodstream,
And the cells of your body,
Through your organs,
Your muscles,
And into your brain,
Become aware of that fresh clean air entering every aspect of your physical body,
Bringing your body to life,
The breath is the life,
Feel the air,
The breath,
Connecting with every single cell and fiber of your body,
Feel that fresh air clear out the stress and tension in your body and mind,
As you just allow yourself to let go,
To let go of everything,
Like a spring clean for your body and mind,
All the windows are open,
The air,
The wind flowing through the house of your body,
Clearing out all the cobwebs,
All the stress,
All the anxiety,
Just blowing away,
The tension leaving your body,
Just just flowing away,
On each out breath,
Feel your body sinking deeper and deeper,
Into a calm and relaxed state,
Should you catch your mind wandering,
Just turn your focus towards your breathing,
To bring yourself back to the present moment,
And this feeling of peace and calmness within your body,
As you allow the breath,
Your deepening breath,
To clear out all the stress and tension and anxiety in your body,
To just let yourself deeply and calmly relax and let go,
Just for now,
You can allow your thoughts to flow,
No need to follow them or engage with them,
Just accept that they're there,
The thoughts they can come,
They can go,
You don't need to pay any mind to them,
Just keep bringing yourself back to your breath,
Calming your mind,
Calming your body with the breath,
Keep bringing yourself back to the here and now,
To your breath,
To the feeling of deep relaxation,
Inner peace and calm,
All you need to do right now,
There's nothing else to do,
Just focus on your breath and feel that breath relaxing your body and your mind,
Letting everything just calm down,
Slow down,
Let,
Just let your thoughts be,
Become aware of yourself in your body without thinking about it,
Just being aware,
In the here and now,
Being aware,
Nothing to worry about,
Nothing to think about,
Nothing to feel overwhelmed about,
In this exact very moment right now,
There's just this moment now,
The sound of my voice and your breath,
Nothing else here for you right now,
Just a connection with your breath,
Your mind,
Your body and your spirit,
Everything working in harmony through the miracle of your breath,
Connection with your breath,
Connection with your body,
Allowing yourself to just be in the stillness and the calmness,
This moment now,
Letting everything else go,
It doesn't belong right now to here,
Just bring yourself back to now,
To your breath,
To the breath in your body and as you focus on your breath in and out,
The feeling of the breath flowing through your body,
Be aware of the feelings of calm and peace and relaxation within your body and just allow yourself to sink deeply into that,
Deeper and deeper and deeper,
More and more deeply calm and relaxed,
Letting everything else go,
Doesn't belong to now and for the next few minutes,
Just keep bringing yourself back to your breath as you allow your body,
Your mind and your spirit to feel as one and to let everything else go,
When you're ready,
You can wiggle your toes and your legs arms and hands,
Necks and shoulders,
Feel yourself coming back into your body,
Into this present moment,
Calm and relaxed,
Balanced and open,
Ready to start fresh,
The new perspective,
The feeling of peace and calm and serenity,
Fresh start,
Ready to look at things differently,
Feel things differently and behave differently,
Ready to begin again and when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
