My name is Fiona if you haven't joined me for a guided meditation before.
I don't have like a set schedule for when I do them I just get these little sparks of inspiration.
So it's kind of with the inspired energy that I get kind of around doing these things.
Tonight's meditation,
Or it could be this morning depending on where in the world you are,
Is around just inner peace and calm and clarity.
And one of the things over the years of my meditation practice,
I've been meditating now for about a decade and I started meditating when I stopped drinking.
So I went through a pretty life-changing experience and then I had the kind of the idea to start meditating and it was definitely the meditation that really changed my life and opened me up to a completely new understanding and awareness.
I've got a business called the Happiness Hunter and the further I go along this path the more I'm really beginning,
I'm gonna say beginning because I think it's just it's a journey of layers and layers and layers meditation and self-awareness and understanding.
The goal,
The purpose,
The state of being that we really want to be living in is within with that state of being like inner peace and calm and allowing that to form the basis,
The foundation,
The anchoring point for absolutely everything else in our lives.
You know,
To just come at life,
Be with life from that solid connected state of being that is calm and centered and focused and balanced and peaceful.
I think really that that's winning at life and that that you know life really is a series of obstacles and challenges to be overcome and to be able to do that,
To be able to live life with whatever life is and whatever comes our way,
To be able to do that with equanimity and balance and harmony is truly a gift and makes life a better experience not just for us but for the world around us.
So we're just going to begin.
So what I'd like you to do right now is just you're seated or if you're lying down just gently close your eyes make sure your spine is straight.
So if you're seated,
Feet flat on the ground,
Hands just resting loosely in your lap or by your side.
If you're lying down just make sure your hands are just resting gently in your lap or by your side,
Both sides probably better,
But just however you're comfortable.
Palms facing up if you can,
Otherwise palms facing down.
It really doesn't matter.
The most important thing is that you are in a comfortable position and we just want to be still.
Okay,
So the focus is on your breath and the focus is on just keeping your body still.
So if you're finding that there's a little bit of distraction or you feel a bit scratchy or you want to just get a tickle on your face or on your foot,
Just breathe into that.
Okay,
It's just,
It's just the trick of the mind.
You don't need to,
You don't need to move,
You just want to stay still.
Alright,
So we just would like to be still.
Peaceful,
Calm,
Still.
Just let your body settle into that comfortable position,
However it feels right,
There's no rules.
We just want to make sure our spine is straight,
We're calm,
We're relaxed and we're in a comfortable position that we don't need to move from.
Make sure you're warm enough or cool enough.
Just put a blanket on if it's a little bit chilly.
If you're feeling like something in the clothes you're wearing is a little bit uncomfortable,
Just adjust that now.
You don't want to suffer through it.
And just take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
And if your eyes aren't closed,
Make sure you close them now.
So just let your shoulders drop and we're going to just bring our intention and our attention inward.
So just begin to notice the rhythm of your breathing.
You don't need to count your breath or anything like that,
You just want to become aware of the breath.
So inhaling deeply,
Filling your lungs,
So from the top of your diaphragm down to the bottom.
And then exhaling fully,
Releasing the air or the breath from the top of your lungs down to the bottom.
So it's like when we're breathing in,
We're filling a vase so the water's coming down to the bottom of the vase up to the top.
And when we're releasing our breath,
We're releasing from the top of the vase all the way down and just exhaling,
Exhaling fully and letting go of any tension.
So we're just going to sit with the breath.
So just breathing in through your nose,
Filling up your lungs like a water jar.
And then releasing from the top of the lungs down to the bottom and just exhaling all of that old stale air.
Just if the thoughts come in you can let them go,
But just centering yourself,
Really connecting in with your breath.
Feeling that tension in your body,
You can just breathe in and release it.
So now we're going to bring your awareness to your body.
So you're just letting your body now do its breathing.
So your body is just going to breathe naturally.
You've sort of set it up and just let it go now.
So your body is just going to breathe of itself.
And we're just going to turn our attention to the crown of your head and slowly scan down through your body.
Become aware of any areas of tightness or discomfort.
And as you breathe in,
Just imagine sending your breath to those areas.
And as you exhale,
Visualize them softening and releasing.
You can just move down through your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Chest,
Your abdomen,
Your hips,
Your legs,
And finally to your feet.
And just allowing this awareness to promote a sense of relaxation and ease.
Just breathing deeply,
Feel your body sinking down into the chair or the bed.
With each breath in and with each breath out,
You're just feeling yourself becoming more and more relaxed.
Deepening of the breath and as you're focusing on your breath,
You're not focusing on the thoughts in our head.
We're just focusing on our breath and the deepening relaxation and calmness within our physical body.
We're just being here and now in this present moment.
We're focusing on this present moment.
We're just focusing on your breath.
We're focusing on the feel of your body,
The calmness,
The peace.
There's peace,
The awareness of the peace within,
That deep,
Deep,
Deep sense of peace within.
It's always there and always available to us when we're calm and we're relaxed.
And if thoughts do arise,
Like if you do become aware of the thoughts in your mind,
Just acknowledge them without judgment.
Accept they're there and just allow them to drift away like clouds in the sky.
You can just repeat after me in your mind now.
I am here,
I am present.
I am here and I am present.
I am here and I am present.
Just feel the sensations of your breath,
The rise and fall of your chest,
The gentle flow of air through your nostrils.
With each inhale,
Just invite calmness and clarity into your space.
And with each exhale,
Just release any worries or distractions.
So you can use the breath to draw in calm and you can use the breath to just let everything go.
Just letting it all go.
Letting the breath guide the calming,
Relaxing,
Letting go.
The thoughts come in,
Just let them go.
Now I would like you to visualize a serene landscape that brings you peace.
And if you can't visualize,
If you find visualization difficult,
That's okay.
Just focus on your breath and just listen to the words that I'm saying and trust that you're getting exactly what you need as I'm speaking with you.
So this serene landscape,
It could be a tranquil beach,
A quiet forest,
Or it could be a serene mountaintop.
It's somewhere in nature that is calming,
That is soothing,
A place where you always feel peace and connected and at one with nature.
It could be a place you've been to before,
It could be a place that you'd like to go to,
It could just be a place from your imagination.
Don't overthink it.
If the thoughts are coming in,
You're not meant to kind of feel like you need to create something here.
It's just allowing the visual that comes to your mind to be with where you are.
So just imagine the colors,
The sounds,
And the fragrances of this place.
Immerse yourself in it with your senses.
So we're using it all of our senses while we're here.
And just as you immerse yourself in this beautiful serene space,
In this visualization,
Just notice how your breath begins to align with the tranquil surroundings.
And just be here now.
Allow yourself to explore this peaceful haven and just allow yourself to fully feel and experience the joy,
The stillness,
And the safety it brings.
It's your special sacred space.
Just allow yourself to fully be present,
Allowing the breath to help you merge with this environment.
Deeply connected,
Calm,
Soothing,
Relaxed,
Contented,
Joyful,
Peaceful,
Happy.
Just being here in this beautiful internal space within you.
It's your space.
You're safe here.
Just keep drawing your attention back to your breath,
Being where you are,
Allowing yourself to fully experience the calm,
The peace,
And the healing that's here.
Drawing the breath in and releasing it.
With each breath in and with each breath out,
You allow yourself to feel more and more connected with this space.
It's breathing in and breathing out,
Filling the peace,
The joy,
The stillness,
And the safety of this space.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
You can repeat the following affirmations in your mind.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply connected to my inner peace.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply connected to my inner peace.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply committed and connected to my inner peace and feel the truth of these statements resonating within you,
Planting seeds of positivity and serenity in your mind as you continue to focus on your breath.
You can repeat after me.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply connected to my inner peace.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply connected to my inner peace.
I am calm and centred.
I trust the journey of my life.
I am deeply connected to my inner peace.
And just keep allowing the breath to guide you,
To help you feel at one with the space you're in,
In this beautiful sanctuary within.
It's beautiful,
Serene,
Peaceful,
Natural environment that's safe and secure and you feel connected and calm and peaceful and happy and joyful.
Deeply relaxed,
Deeply connected,
Deeply safe.
The breath in and the breath out and with each breath in and with each breath out you're just allowing yourself to become more and more deeply relaxed.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Just remember if the thoughts do come in you can just watch them drifting away.
Just bring yourself back into the space,
Into your inner sanctuary,
Into the calmness and the peace and stillness within.
Feel it opening up.
It's just peace,
It's just peaceful.
There's nothing to disturb you here.
Just be peaceful and anything that comes in you can just release it on the next out breath.
You can just send it out and let it go.
Breathing in the peace and calm and you're breathing out all the fear and the worry and the anxiety.
There's just nothing here to cause you any problems.
It's just a state of eternal peace within.
You're allowing yourself just to simply be with that and experience that now.
To remember who you are and just focusing on the breath.
Simply breathing in and breathing out.
Calm,
Relaxed,
Body heavy,
Just presence.
Deep presence and stillness.
So all the worries,
All the cares,
There's nothing even there to fall away.
You're just deeply present.
You're breathing in in this moment now and you're breathing out in this moment now.
You're simply in this present moment now.
Allowing yourself just to be connected to the source of everything that is within you.
Remembering that's who you truly are,
That's where you came from.
The more deeply you can lean into that and allow yourself to experience that.
The clearer your mind will be,
The more connected you're going to feel,
The more clarity and insight and connection to your intuition.
The more open your heart,
The more free-flowing all of your chakras.
Just allow yourself to fully connect in with that source of power within you.
That state of eternal peace within.
With each breath in and with each breath out,
You're just allowing yourself to experience that more and more deeply.
And it's beautiful and it's just love and it just wants you to know how much you are loved.
Just allow yourself to receive that now.
That beautiful,
Loving,
Peaceful,
Presence,
Energy.
It's here with you right now.
It's always here with you.
When we can just allow ourselves to be still and to pause and to focus on our breath and relax and let everything else go,
Is when we allow ourselves to experience it.
And this is the gift of meditation.
And you can come back to this space anytime you want.
You just close your eyes and focus on your breath and take yourself back to that beautiful,
Serene,
Natural inner sanctuary within you.
And allow yourself to connect to the state of inner peace and calm that exists within you always.
It's your true nature.
It's where you came from.
It's who you are.
We're just going to start to bring ourselves back now into the room.
So just bringing your awareness back now to your physical surroundings.
So where you are,
Back into your body.
Just wriggling your fingers and your toes.
And when you feel ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
And just take a moment to notice how you feel now compared to when you started this meditation.
And allow yourself,
Give yourself permission to carry this sense of peace and clarity with you as you go about your day or as you're about to head into sleep tonight.
Thank you.
