These are the last couple of sessions that we have to focus on this skill before we move on and start to learn other aspects of the technique.

So let's use this as an opportunity to see how far we can push this.

Remembering that the technique remains simple,

Even though we'll talk about deeper and deeper aspects of what it does,

The method itself is easy.

It's simply focusing on the breath and feeling it moving in and out of the nostrils.

Anything else is entirely unnecessary.

Simply bring your awareness to the space from the top of the nose down to the corners of the mouth and feel the breath coming in and out of the nostrils.

And see how long you can maintain awareness of the breath without your mind going somewhere else.

See how much of our awareness we can have focused on the breath at the same time.

Can we focus entirely on the feeling of the breath and not be distracted by sounds,

Sensations,

Thoughts,

Memories,

Feelings?

Can we become entirely absorbed with the breath?

To the point where nothing else exists for us.

And if our mind does happen to move,

Then simply use it as an opportunity to be able to flex that muscle and strengthen the connection between the breath and the mind.

Develop that willpower.

Remembering that our entire focus is on feeling the breath,

Not imagining it,

Not controlling it,

Not regulating it.

Simply feeling the breath moving in and out of the nostrils and allowing it to be exactly as it is.

And see how much of our awareness we can have focused on the breath.

And see how much of our awareness we can have focused on the breath.

And see how much of our awareness we can have focused on the breath.
