This evening,
I'll give the instructions for the relational presence activity.
But until then,
Let's continue to practice in silence.
Use this day to intensify our process.
See just how deeply we can understand these sensations we're experiencing.
How fully we can feel them and how much of our character armour we can put down so that we can feel the reality underneath.
If your awareness is scattered,
Then by now you know what to do.
Focus on the breath.
Feel it without reacting to it or interfering with it.
The natural breath.
Allow your awareness to collect.
Let whatever arises arise.
Whatever passes passes.
Whatever passes,
Pass.
And feel it in more and more detail,
Narrowing down your area of awareness until you have a collected,
Condensed,
Focused and non-reactive awareness.
If your mind is already sharp and non-reactive,
Then you also know what to do.
Continue to move through the body,
Exploring every sensation.
Familiarising yourself with the landscape of the self.
This is your landscape.
Your kingdom.
Shouldn't you know it?
If you happen to be full of love,
Bursting with love,
Then you also know what to do.
Take a look at your life again and the people in it.
And allow yourself to reach out to them with this stable loving awareness.
May they also be happy.
Be liberated.
Be free.
Whichever state,
Whichever condition you're in,
You know what to do with it now.
Continue to use these tools and explore yourself.
Explore the nature of your awareness.
Now as you bring your awareness back to the room,
We have another tool to practice with.
As we move through our day,
We no longer have to keep our awareness fixed on the breath.
We have a choice between the breath and the sensation.
So as you transition between the sessions,
Between the postures,
Keep your awareness fixed on either the breath or on sensation.
See if you can feel sensation as you move through your day,
Through all the positions of the day.
And if you need to,
Then come back to the breath and continue to sharpen your awareness.
Continue to build this unbroken thread of awareness throughout the whole day.
